The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, August 6, tease that viewers will see an encore episode that originally aired on March 1, 2005. In the episode, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will be holding an envelope containing her paternity test results when Malcom Winters (Shemar Moore) and Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) return to Drucilla’s apartment. Lily will insist on knowing what’s going on and what’s in the envelope.
Meanwhile, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) will get a nice visit from Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) at the hospital. Neil will make sure to tell Devon that what happened wasn’t his fault, and a wonderful father/son conversation will ensue. Neil will tell Devon that he’s his son, through and through.
Elsewhere, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will cause problems for Damon Porter (Keith Hamilton Cobb) when she makes sure that “Adrienne” overhears them talking. Phyllis will reference their “plans,” clearly making Adrienne think that something’s going on between her and Damon. Later, Adrienne will ask Damon why he’s been so distant, and Damon will make a remark about her being interested in other men. Adrienne will wonder where Damon got that notion.
At the Abbott estate, John Abbott (Jerry Douglas) will demand to know why Gloria Abbott (Judith Chapman) went to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) about Jabot business dealings. Gloria will say that she simply had John’s best interests at heart. John will express understanding, but he’ll ask Gloria to remove herself from his business affairs.
John and Gloria will have some nice moments together, and Gloria will express concern about what will happen to her when John is gone – will Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) give her anything or a roof over her head even? John will reassure Gloria that she’ll always be cared for.
Meanwhile, over at the Newman ranch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be irked to find Ashley talking with Victor in the living room. Ashley will be urging Victor to help her convince Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) that Jack can’t be trusted. At any rate, Ashley will leave, and Nikki will blast Victor for not making time for her lately. Nikki and Victor will bicker, with Victor not being happy about Nikki’s recent vote siding with Jack.
Later, Ashley will drop by Brad Carlton’s (Don Diamont) place to spend some time with Abby Carlton (Darcy Rose Byrnes), and she and Brad will chat about recent business dealings while Abby’s out of the room. Back with Phyllis, she’ll return home and immediately get on the phone with the lab where Lily’s paternity test was done. Phyllis will fish for information about the results, but the lab tech won’t fork over information.
Soon, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will walk in, and Phyllis will seek information from him about what’s going on over at the Winters home. Daniel will relay that things seemed odd between Drucilla and Lily, and that Drucilla got upset when he and Lily found an envelope amongst Neil’s get-well cards.
Phyllis will keep fishing for information, and eventually Daniel will reveal that the results said something about Sample A being excluded for paternity from Sample B. Phyllis will brush it off as probably just some genealogy work that Drucilla was doing. Daniel will take off, and Phyllis will think about what she’s just heard.
Back at the Winters’ apartment, Drucilla will try to conjure up some phony explanation for the test results, but Lily won’t buy it. Malcolm will realize that it’s time to tell Lily the truth when she figures out that the test results are from a paternity test. Malcolm will calmly explain the whole story to Lily about how Drucilla was heavily medicated and thought she was with Neil.
Malcolm will continue, saying that recently he wondered more about Lily’s paternity, and that’s why the test was run. Lily will then open the envelope and demand to know who her father is. Drucilla will tell Lily that the results show that Neil is her biological father. Lily will explode, attacking Malcolm for taking advantage of Drucilla and attacking Drucilla for defending Malcolm.
Lily will scream at Malcolm to leave, and Drucilla will reach out for her daughter but Lily will recoil from her touch, saying to leave her alone. After the terrible scene, Drucilla will sob uncontrollably. Meanwhile, back with Phyllis, she’ll call the lab again for more information, which she won’t get. Phyllis will learn that two paternity tests were run, leaving her to contemplate her next move.
