The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Thursday, June 4 - Jack Bans Gloria From John Abbott’s Funeral - Jill Remembers Life With John

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, June 4, tease that viewers will see an encore episode that originally aired on August 24, 2006. The episode is part of “Abbott Family Week” on the show, and this episode features the Abbott family’s drama in connection with John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) funeral service.

Preparations will get underway for the service, and the episode will begin with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) gazing at a photo of his father. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will wonder why Jack decided to make peace with Gloria Abbott (Judith Chapman). Jack will say that he didn’t want to make things any worse than they are for the family at this point.

Meanwhile, Gloria will get support from Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) as she prepares for the funeral service. Kevin will worry that perhaps jack wasn’t being sincere when he reached out to her.

But Gloria will say that she’s happy about Jack’s attitude, and she’ll note that John would want the family to be kind to each other right now.

Gloria will be thankful for Kevin and Michael, saying that without them, she wouldn’t be able to get through this day. Gloria will be resolved to get through the funeral, even telling Michael to wear a brighter tie, since she wants the day to be a celebration of John.

Elsewhere, Billy Abbott (Scott Seymour) will talk with Colleen Carlton (Adrianne Leon), telling her that he won’t be attending John’s service today. Billy will want to remember his father the way that he saw him last – in a peaceful state.

People will gather for the funeral service, and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will be feeling particularly emotional as she remembers back onto her life with John, Jill’s eyes will fill with tears as Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) comforts her.

Katherine will also comfort Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), who will say that she wished she had spent the Fourth of July with John. Katherine will say that John would just be happy that they are all together now.

Soon, it will be time for the service to begin, but Gloria, Michael, Kevin, and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) won’t have shown up. Ashley and Jack will assume that Gloria isn’t coming. Katherine will be the only one to try to call Gloria.

After the funeral, Gloria, Kevin, Michael, and Lauren will show up, and they’ll be shocked and horrified to find out that the funeral has already occurred.

Gloria will reveal that Jack was the person who told her what time the funeral was supposed to begin, and she will realize what happened and that Jack purposely shut her out of the funeral.

Gloria, Michael, Kevin, and Lauren will fume as they come to grips with what Jack just did to Gloria. However, Gloria will rally, and she’ll say a heartfelt goodbye to John, as she’ll be determined not to let Jack’s ploy ruin her last goodbye to John.

Later, back at the Abbott estate, things will get ugly as Gloria and Jack face off over what Jack did. Gloria will rail against Jack, calling him selfish, and Jack will accuse Gloria of being selfish for ruining John’s life and putting him in jail.

Michael and Lauren will each have their say against Jack. Lauren will be disgusted with him, and Michael will say that he can’t believe Jack ruined Gloria’s last goodbye to John.

From there, things will really get heated, with Jack telling Gloria that she’s not really John’s wife, and that she’s not a part of the Abbott family anymore.
