The Young and the Restless spoilers has some great news to pass on about a return that’s set for November on the CBS soap. Tricia Cast, who played Nina Webster on Y&R from 1986-2001 and from 2008-2014, will be reprising her role in some upcoming November episodes. Nina was last seen for Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) memorial service.
If you’re a long-time viewer of Y&R, then you probably remember Nina, and even if you’re a newer viewer, you might have seen Nina appear in some of the throwback episodes that aired earlier this year when the show was shut down for COVID-19.
Nina is Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) mother, and she’ll no doubt return to Genoa City to see her son. We should see some good mother/son interactions, and perhaps even some tension between Nina and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).
It seems that Nina will probably also reconnect with Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell), since the two have been quite close in the past. These besties will surely get caught up, as Nina will need to get up to speed on everything that’s been going on in Genoa City in recent years.
Entertainment Weekly is also reporting that Nina will be present during the final week of November as Y&R celebrates its 12,000th episode. That’s a huge milestone, and it sounds like the show has something big planned to commemorate the event on Monday, November 30th.
Earlier today, Lauralee Bell made the announcement about Tricia’s return to Y&R with a short video on her Instagram feed.
Lauralee’s video included Tricia saying that Nina’s back, and was captioned with the following message: “Couldn’t be more excited to announce this! NINA IS BACK! Yay! Nothing like @triciacast being a sight for sore eyes! #nina #yr #cricketandnina #reunited #mybuddy.”
Tricia won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series back in 1992, and she hasn’t acted much since leaving Y&R, but she has appeared in some movie shorts and television series over the years. Back in 2016, Tricia appeared in the series Local Air as Sherry Easley.
We think it will be fantastic to see Nina back in action on Y&R, as she checks in on Chance, Christine, and everyone else in Genoa City.
