The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Tuesday, April 14, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), and an associate will finish up a meeting at the Grand Phoenix. Afterwards, Billy and Lily will be happy – they’ll be that much closer to owning a news site. Billy will take off, and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will get off the elevator. Lily will wave Amanda over and ask her to look at some contracts.
Amanda will note some tricky fine print that Lily will want to be aware of, and she’ll wonder why Lily didn’t have the Chancellor legal team handle the matter. Lily will say that she was thinking that their division could use its own attorney.
Amanda will balk, thinking that Lily and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) are in cahoots to offer her charity, but Lily will insist that she didn’t know about Devon’s independent offer.
Amanda will ask whether Lily has run the idea past Billy yet, and Lily will say no. Amanda will say that she’s not sure, and that Lily should see what Billy thinks.
Later, Lily will meet back up with Billy at the Chancellor Media offices, and she’ll ask Billy how he feels about bringing Amanda on board. Billy will be shaken by the suggestion, but after a moment, he’ll calm down a bit.
Lily will go on about how it would be great to have Amanda on the team, and that she understands that Billy is friends with Amanda. Billy will point out that Amanda helped him through a rough time, and that he’d be happy to work with her.
Billy will take off for Crimson Lights and Lily will call Amanda, who will think that Lily works fast. Amanda will say that she’ll think about the offer.
One wonders whether Billy and Amanda would be able to comfortably co-exist in the office together. As of right now, Billy and Amana seem to be pretty awkward around each other and avoiding each other in public places.
But perhaps working together in a structured environment is just the way for Billy and Amanda to get over their awkwardness and move on with life.
Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Tuesday, April 14, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will be distracted after breakfast. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will note that today is Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) first day as CEO of Newman Enterprises. Victor won’t want to talk, and he’ll go for a ride, leaving Nikki by herself.
Soon, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will arrive, and Nikki will urge her to sit down with Victor and sort out this situation with Adam. Victoria will refuse, saying that this is now her own fight.
Nikki will tell Victoria that Victor claimed that he didn’t kill AJ Montalvo back in Kansas, and Victoria will say that if that’s the case, then Victor should have told Adam to take a hike.
Nikki will urge Victoria not to take matters into her own hands, and to let her talk to Victor. Victoria will wish her mother luck. Later, Victor will return from his ride to find Nikki looking at her tablet. Nikki will say that she hoped Victor was able to reach Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) because Adam is doing a live interview…right now.
Victor will sigh as he looks at the tablet, and Nikki will pepper Victor with questions. Nikki will say that Victoria is mystified, and Victor will snap that he needs to handle this on his own.
Nikki will press on, asking Victor what happened in Kansas, and finally Victor will say that his conversation is over. Nikki will get upset and leave, and Victor will flash back to seeing AJ lying dead on the barn floor.
Meanwhile, over at Crimson Lights, Nick will walk in while glaring at some news on his phone. Nick will notice Victoria on the patio, and he’ll go to her angrily demanding answers about why Adam is suddenly CEO of Newman Enterprises. Victoria will say that Adam’s interview is starting, and they’ll watch a little of it together before Nick can’t take anymore.
Victoria will then tell Nick the whole story about Adam’s manipulation of Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) and about how Adam has evidence that Victor paid off the coroner in Kansas.
Nick won’t get why Victor let Adam win, and he’ll tell Victoria how sorry he is that she got tossed out of Newman Enterprises. Nick will eventually take off, still agitated.
Later, Billy will approach Victoria, and he’ll calmly extend his condolences about Victoria losing the CEO spot. Victoria will thank him, then she’ll ask how things at Chancellor Media are going.
Victoria will inquire about whether Billy’s business includes media coverage, because she might have a story for him at some point – a story she’s sure he’s going to want to run. Looks like Victoria is getting ready to betray her bro Adam and her dad!
Finally, Nick will barge into the CEO office at Newman Enterprises. Adam will say that he wondered when Nick would come around. Nick will say that Adam won’t get away with this, and Adam will reply, “Take a look around, brother. I already did.”
