The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, December 22, tease that Elena Dawson (Bryton James) will dream of a new beginning. Y&R fans know Elena’s already had some revealing dreams – ones that clued her in on her true feelings for Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
However, those dreams also left her torn about her lingering feelings for Devon Hamilton (Bryton James).
Although it’s been tough to move on from Devon, Elena seems excited about the possibilities ahead with Nate. They have an easy bond and are good communicators, so Elena could certainly envision building a life together.
Of course, that life might include children and helping Nate with new career opportunities.
Even so, Elena will have to ponder what a fresh start with Devon might look like. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Elena’s dream will include a kiss under the mistletoe with Devon, so her conflicted heart hasn’t gone away.
Back in reality, Devon will protect what matters to him. Right now, what seems to matter most to Devon is his friendship with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) – which could become more if all goes well.
Devon will be supportive as he gets updates on Amanda’s birth mother in the week ahead. He’ll see a picture of Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey), who gave birth to Amanda and Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan).
Amanda will have plenty of questions since she was given up while Naya’s cousin, Rose Turner, wound up with Hilary.
Naya was wealthy, so that’ll add another layer of drama. It’ll sting since Amanda will feel like Naya had the resources to make sure she was cared for. Naya could’ve at least paid to have someone find Amanda later, so there’ll be a lot of hurtful confusion on Amanda’s side of things.
Amanda will determine that it’d be too painful to meet Naya, which Devon will understand. He’ll offer comfort, but look for Amanda to change her mind and visit Naya after all. Devon will make plans to take a quick road trip with Amanda once Christmas Eve rolls around.
In the meantime, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will stumble across a secret. Tuesday’s Y&R episode will finally bring the discovery of Gloria Fisher Bardwell’s (Judith Chapman) thumb drive.
It’ll turn up in that trinket box while Kevin and Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) are packing their belongings for their move to the new house.
Chloe and Kevin will debate who might’ve stashed the thumb drive, but they won’t be able to nail down a firm answer. Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) or Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will be their best guesses.
Kevin will almost give Chance the thumb drive on Tuesday, but Chloe will stop him at the last second. She’ll fib about it being Esther Valentine’s (Kate Linder) – just so they can see for themselves what’s on it!
Kevin will pop the thumb drive in his laptop and spot a picture of Gloria on the screen moments later. He’ll realize this has trouble written all over it and will start putting together the clues.
Chloe will help Kevin crack the case of what Gloria’s hiding and why she chose to leave the thumb drive at the Chancellor mansion. We’ll keep you in the loop as other Y&R news rolls in.
