The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, January 4 Recap – Sarah Prepares To Lose Hair - Mariah Fired – Victor’s Fake Affair Evidence

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, January 4, teases that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will unleash his fury. At the ranch, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will show up to see Victoria and the children. Of course, Victor will shut down that idea and lash out at Billy over Victoria’s heartbreak. He’ll make it clear that Billy won’t be coming on his property ever again before throwing him out.

Meanwhile, Victoria and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will chat at Newman Enterprises. After Nick sees how distracted Victoria is, he’ll acknowledge the pain that comes with a split. Talk will turn to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), who might be moving to Paris. Victoria will think that sounds like a great plan. Nick will bring up the possibility of Billy leaving as well.

The Newman Enterprises gala is still coming up, but Victoria will struggle to have much excitement about it. Nick will do his best to lift Victoria’s spirits before Billy appears. Once Billy and Victoria are alone, they’ll discuss Billy’s trip to the ranch and Victor’s refusal to let him see the kids. Since Billy has a black eye, he’ll be willing to hold off on that visit.

At the ranch again, Victor will suggest he could help Victoria tell Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) about the breakup. Victoria will pass on the assistance, but she’ll get some shocking updates moments later.

Victor will claim Billy and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) visited a motel together repeatedly, which obviously doesn’t seem to be true based on what Y&R fans have seen. He’ll add that he has receipts, so Victoria will feel like she’s been naïve about all this. Next, Victoria will call Billy and set up a meeting about how they’re going to move forward with the kids.

At the Grand Phoenix, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and “Chance” Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will make love in a suite. Despite Abby’s attempt to deflect suspicion, her employees won’t buy the dental appointment excuse.

After Chance orders room service, a toothbrush will be sent up and they’ll know they’ve been caught. Chance and Abby will ultimately decide food can wait, so they’ll enjoy another round of lovemaking. At Crimson Lights, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will think Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is only being nice to her because she has breast cancer. A surprised Phyllis will admit she didn’t know exactly what was wrong until now.

Sharon will just want Phyllis to treat her like she usually would. Phyllis will eventually snark a bit and tell Sharon her life would be so boring without her. At Society, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will catch up with Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) via video chat. When it’s Mariah’s turn to fill Tessa in, she’ll suggest it’s just been the “same old, same old.”

Tessa won’t buy that and will worry that something’s going on. After Tanner Watts (Chase Coleman) steps behind Tessa, he’ll joke about barging in their private conversation and trying to mansplain their relationship. Once Tessa hangs up with Mariah, Tanner will wonder if everything’s all right. Tessa will confess that the time apart is hard and seems to be getting to Mariah.

Tanner will reflect on that being the downside of going on tour. He’ll try to cheer Tessa up with some big news: his label is interested in signing her. Although Tessa will be grateful, she’ll also have to ask if Tanner’s hoping they’ll reconnect. Tanner will insist they’re different people now. He’ll think they’ve come a long way and will talk about respecting their friendship.

Once they’ve cleared the air, Tessa will admit she’s willing to hear Tanner’s people out. Back in Genoa City, Mariah will talk to Lindsay (Kirby Bliss Blanton) at Society’s bar. She’ll allude to the secret she’s keeping and how it’s getting more difficult to keep quiet about it. Lindsay will suggest she’s there to listen if Mariah needs her.

Afterward, Mariah will sit down for a meeting with Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). That’s when she’ll face another tough blow: Devon’s shutting down Power Communications. Despite the work Mariah’s put into it, Devon just won’t see it as something that can last long-term. Mariah will seem pretty rattled, but she’ll try to cope as best as she can. Back at the bar, Mariah will order a stiff drink from Lindsay.

At Nick’s place, Phyllis will stop by and admit she knows what Sharon’s up against. She’ll acknowledge that their feud in the past now seems petty. Nick will appreciate the compassion Phyllis is showing. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will view this as a wakeup call of how fast everything can change.

After Nick reassures Phyllis about Sharon’s excellent medical team, she’ll look forward to being a thorn in Sharon’s side again. Nick will be on the same page about that. At home, Sharon will realize she’s missed a hair appointment and will look at her treatment paperwork. In preparation for potentially losing all her hair, Sharon will put a scarf on her head to see how it looks.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say another action-packed episode’s on the way. We’ll keep you posted as other Y&R details emerge. Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
