The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Friday, December 11 – Billy Tricks Lola – Phyllis Threatens to Strangle Victoria

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Friday, December 11, reveals that Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) GCPD contact does clerical work and has revealed some crucial info to him. The secret witness is staying at one of the three hotels the cops typically put their witness up in.

This person is also booked under the name “Celeste Rosales,” so Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) decides her “favorite chef” might be able to help them out.

Lily thinks it makes sense for Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to use his mother’s name as an alias, but they should probably make sure Celeste isn’t actually in town first.

Once Lola walks over, Billy and Lily gush over the food. That leads to Billy bringing up which dish was inspired by Lola’s mother, so Lola admits it’s the flan. “Oh, the flan! I love the flan!” Billy insists.

Lola tries to excuse herself, but Lily stops her and sticks with this mom topic. She contends there’s something special about cooking Thanksgiving recipes with your mother. Lola admits Celeste is overdue for a visit, so that finally gives Lily and Billy their answer.

At Crimson Lights, Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston) gives Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) the news that he has a meeting with Rey, Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).

Chance is being called as a witness for the prosecution. “They want you to help put Billy away,” Abby says as she realizes.

Chance suggests they want him to confirm aspects of the timeline along with the fact that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was the actual target. Abby thinks they want to use Chance to illicit sympathy from the jury, too. “Probably,” Chance admits.

Abby wonders if Chance thinks Billy is guilty, but Chance doesn’t know. All Chance can do is tell the truth.

Talk turns to the Chancellor mansion and how they’re moving in, so Abby insists she doesn’t want to redecorate and likes it just the way it is. Chance hopes Abby can bring some family Christmas traditions to their new family home, but Abby suggests making new ones.

At The Grand Phoenix lobby, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) spots Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) and catches up with her. Nina gets updates on Victoria owning the hotel and isn’t all that surprised since Victoria has always been an overachiever – her father’s daughter.

Victoria credits Nina with molding her into the woman she is today. Once upon a time, Victoria confided the problems in her marriage to Ryan McNeil (Scott Reeves), but then she found out Nina was sleeping with Ryan herself.

Nina looks back on those days with embarrassment and shame. Victoria suggests she shouldn’t since now she figures out when people try to play her right away. She shuts it down and makes sure there’s not a repeat. Nina and Victoria make a pact to never fall for the same man again.

In Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) suite, she wraps up a hateful call and then warns Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) that Victoria is playing dirty. Phyllis wants to be sure Nick is cool with her going back to her old ways. She feels she has to show Victoria how ruthless she can be.

There’s a clause in Victoria’s contract that she’s using to force a buyout. Victoria is citing negligence, which Phyllis calls insane. Nick assures Phyllis that he won’t defend his sister and is on Phyllis’ side.

Phyllis has to figure out her next move, but Nick feels like she shouldn’t rush things. Phyllis doesn’t have any ideas, but Nick has one – though Phyllis isn’t going to like it. She agrees to let Nick talk to Victoria, but she wants to come along and see what Victoria says to her face.

Chance meets with Rey as they go over the case, which gives Billy the means, motive and opportunity. Rey just can’t get past the question of why Billy would go after Adam now.

It’s not like this is a new grudge for Billy, who scored a win with that Adam exposé at Chancellor Communications.

“Billy should be doing a victory lap, not trying to kill the guy,” Rey insists. He doesn’t know if Billy’s innocence is a real possibility, but he knows Billy could do serious jail time based on the evidence as it stands now.

Back with Lily, she makes some calls and finds out only The Grand Phoenix has someone booked under the name “Celeste Rosales.” Lily wants Billy to know can count on her, which is why this next move has to be made by her alone. Contact with the witness is prohibited and could land Billy in jail.

Lily is prepared to deal with the fallout of this mystery witness and plans to act like she has her own source from Chance Comm. Lily will frame it as a story and insist she can keep the witness’ name out of it. Billy knows Lily wants to do this on her own, but he refuses to let her go without backup.

Abby finds Lola in Society’s kitchen, so Lola comments on the honeymoon glow. After Abby gushes about how great the wedding was, she lets Lola know how happy she is.

Rey talks to Chance about Billy having some pretty dark days a few months ago. He thinks it would’ve made more sense for Billy to seek revenge then. Billy has blamed Adam for a setup, but Rey and Chance don’t buy that.

As for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Rey and Chance also don’t think he’d hire someone to shoot his own son. They’re left wondering who’s left.

In Victoria’s office, Phyllis comes barging in and rants about the “preposterous” accusations of negligence.

Victoria has ample documentation of scandal after scandal under Phyllis’ watch. “A night full of drugged drinks, an armed hostage situation in the lobby, and what about your guests that you lost when your little with Abby was going on?” Victoria says.

Victoria brings up the construction drama as well and thinks it’s a long paper trail of incompetence. The negligence clause is retroactive, so it doesn’t matter that Victoria wasn’t involved back then. Victoria has already had the buyout money wired into Phyllis’ account, so she has a week to vacant the premises.

Nick wonders what they can do to stop this, but Victoria argues that they can’t. It’s been decided. “How about I decide to jump over that desk and strangle you to death?” Phyllis snaps.

Victoria wishes Phyllis would so she could add assault charges to the list of Phyllis’ unwise moves. Phyllis ultimately leaves in a huff. Nick suggests he won’t make the mistake of thinking Victoria will be kind and decent again.

At Society later, Phyllis seethes about Victoria and all the things she’d like to do to her. She wonders if Victoria can add “though crimes” to her list of grievances. Phyllis worries about losing the hotel and wants to go war, though she wonders if she’s too late.

Nick refuses to let Phyllis lose something that’s so important to her.

Back with Abby, she fills Lola in on her honeymoon. Lola reflects on her own tropical honeymoon with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), though the magic didn’t last long into the marriage. Abby gives Lola a pep talk about moving on after her divorce and how she’ll eventually be OK.

The conversation shifts to Billy, so Lola notes that Billy didn’t seem that worried earlier. Abby thinks that’s just the way Billy is. She doesn’t want to believe Billy is guilty, but she isn’t sure she can forgive him if he did fire the shot. “I really hope that the shooter doesn’t have one of my three last names,” Abby admits.

Chance continues his conversation with Rey in Friday’s Young and the Restless episode. Although Chance really doesn’t want it to be Billy, he knows Rey has to go with the facts – and right now, every single one of them points to Billy as the shooter.

Lily makes her way to The Grand Phoenix with Billy. They don’t have the witness’ room number, so Lily sneaks on the system to find it while Billy stands lookout. Once Lily’s got the room number, Billy offers to go with her again. He’s willing to risk his bail to help, but Lily refuses to let him.

Chance and Abby show up once Lily gets on the elevator. Billy asks about the honeymoon and tries to make small talk, but Abby can’t dance around the real issue. They can’t just pretend that Billy’s not being charged with shooting Chance. “So you think I’m guilty now, too,” Billy suggests.

Abby wants what’s best for Billy – and Chance adds that they’re all doing the best they can. Billy guesses he’ll just have to wait until he’s acquitted to prove his innocence to everyone. He didn’t think it’d be so easy for his family to write him off as a would-be killer.

Once with Nick, he doesn’t think Victoria will take a loss or that she’s bluffing. Going to court isn’t the best strategy. Phyllis feels she’s back at square one, but Nick says she has another option – it’s just one she doesn’t like.

He thinks it’s time for Phyllis to swallow her pride and accept his financial assistance.

Phyllis grumbles about not wanting to take Nick’s money, but this is his best shot at keeping the hotel. “I don’t want to resent you for it, and I don’t want you resenting me,” Phyllis says.

Nick feels this will fortify them instead and will prove to everyone that they’re back for good. Phyllis finally agrees to take it, but she says it’s just a loan and that’ll pay back every single penny.

In Victoria’s office again, Phyllis offers Victoria 35 percent over market value to own The Grand Phoenix fully and solely. She says the best-case scenario would mean taking five or six years for Victoria to reach that value.

Phyllis pushes Victoria to be an intelligent businesswoman and take the deal. Victoria thinks Nick rolled over and let Nick give her the money, but she says this is her victory courtesy of Nick. Phyllis never could’ve pulled it off without Nick’s help.

Once Phyllis reconvenes with Nick, she says she feels worse than before. Phyllis gripes about Nick saving her hotel while she did nothing. Nick thinks entrepreneurs get capital from various sources all the time, so he wants Phyllis to take the win.

Phyllis feels like she’s a failure and that she has to come to terms with that, so she wants to be alone for a while.

At Society, Rey talks to Lola about Christmas plans and what she’ll bring to the gathering at Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) place. Lola mentions her famous shortbread cookies, but Rey pretends he’s been lying to Lola all these years and actually hates them.

He eventually reveals he’s messing with Lola, which is a big brother’s prerogative.

Chance and Abby head up to their old suite, where they pack up their belongings. Abby will miss this place since they made a lot of memories there. It’s where their relationship began. Chance and Abby decide to have “one for the road,” so they strip down for lovemaking and laugh.

On Friday’s Y&R episode, Lily makes her way to the witness’ room and looks nervous as she listens at the door. Lily knocks timidly and waits for someone to open it.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) will be waiting on the other side in the week ahead, so stay tuned! CDL will have other hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news for you, so stick with us for Y&R details.
