The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will undoubtedly make a few waves in Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) romance with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). It’s clear that Victoria’s growing jealous of the new woman in Billy’s life.
Victoria has been trying to act like she’s just watching out for Lily due to Billy’s track record, but that’s not all that’s going on here.
In fact, there’s a good chance Victoria will become convinced she belongs back with Billy. Victoria may see how Billy’s changed and how he’s treating Lily right in this thriving relationship. It may seem unfair to Victoria since she endured so much disappointment from Billy’s screwups – and now Lily’s reaping the benefits of the new-and-improved version.
Victoria might determine that the time is right to reunite with Billy, but it’s not like Billy will suddenly just drop Lily and go back to his ex. Victoria can’t snap her fingers and expect Billy to come running. What are Victoria’s options if she wants a “Villy” reunion in the months ahead?
Victoria can keep working the kid angle as she did recently. We’re not sure we buy that Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) was so upset about Billy potentially not making it back for Christmas. Johnny seemed happy enough, so that may have been an idea Victoria subtly planted in the kid’s head or at least exaggerated to Billy.
Regardless, that scheme backfired spectacularly if it was one. Lily and Billy ended up having an even better time right there at Society, so there was no need for a New Orleans getaway after all.
Honestly, Billy knows the drill when it comes to coparenting, so that doesn’t seem like the right way for Victoria to go. Besides, it’s tough to imagine Victoria doing any major manipulating when it comes to her own children. A better method of breaking Lily and Billy up would be working this from Lily’s side of things.
Victoria could try to plant doubts about Billy and convince Lily that heartbreak is inevitable. However, it wouldn’t make sense for Lily to buy it considering how much faith she’s shown in Billy.
In the end, Victoria might realize that if she hopes to rekindle the “Villy” magic, she’ll have to rekindle the “Lane” magic, too! Will Victoria try to get Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) back in Genoa City in hopes of doing some matchmaking?
It’d be easy for Victoria to reach out to Cane under the guise of hiring him at Newman Enterprises. Maybe Victoria could even come clean and team up with Cane.
Victoria might hope she could create some scenarios that’d push Lily and Cane back together. That way Victoria would have Billy all to herself – and Cane would get his happy ending with Lily. Two reunions might sound like a great outcome to Victoria. From where Victoria’s standing, that might seem like a win-win situation.
Whatever the case, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria will cause some trouble for Lily and Billy, so Cane’s return could be a fun way for her to achieve that. There have been several Cane mentions lately, so Y&R certainly isn’t letting his memory fade.
Cane might reenter the picture down the road if Victoria gets desperate enough to summon him. Of course, the real twist might be if Victoria wound up falling for Cane instead! After all, Victoria and Cane have shared kisses in the past, so there’d be new opportunities to explore if Cane came back on canvas.
