The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that a mystery person tried awfully hard to shoot and kill Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Unfortunately, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) intervened and tried to save Adam, getting himself shot in the process.
Now Chance’s life hangs in the balance and a major police investigation will get underway to determine exactly who shot Chance and why.
Well, it probably won’t take long for Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) to figure out that Chance was trying to protect Adam from a bullet. And at some point, Chance will wake up and spill what happened, and then there will be no doubt that Adam was the intended target of the shooting.
The suspect list should be pretty large, considering the exposé that got Genoa City all whipped up about Adam’s past crimes.
However, we suspect that the culprit could end up being someone totally unexpected, and that it might have everything to do with Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind).
It was made very clear on the show that after Faith had her big confrontation with Adam at Crimson Lights, she ran off to her friend Jordan’s (Madison Thompson) house.
Y&R viewers know that Jordan is trouble, and that she’s vowed to protect Faith from the cyberbullying she’s faced from the other teens.
But would Jordan go so far as to protect Faith by trying to shoot Adam? Y&R viewers will remember that when Faith ran off to Chancellor Park after blasting Adam, Jordan was the first person she called.
And then Jordan showed up and showed Faith something in her bag that she said might help how Faith was feeling.
It seemed like perhaps there was a bottle of booze in Jordan’s purse, and that she was luring Faith into doing some drinking in order to calm down. But what if that thing in Jordan’s purse wasn’t booze, but was a gun?
Jordan could have lifted a gun from her parent’s house or from a friend’s house. It’s a terrible thought, but Jordan might have convinced Faith that they should go track Adam down and put a permanent stop to him.
Since Jordan is a couple years older than Faith, she can probably drive, so it would be possible for the teens to follow Adam. Of course, it seems like Y&R would never let Faith actually be the shooter, so we’d probably be looking at a situation in which Jordan’s the shooter.
We know that the role of Jordan is a short-term one, so Jordan could conceivably get caught and get sent off to juvenile detention.
We’ll see what materializes on the show, but it seems that Jordan is a clear possibility among the list of possible shooters.
And if that’s the case, then Faith is probably going to be a mess in the coming episodes as she and Jordan have to keep the secret about what Jordan did as Rey takes the lead in investigating the shooting. Ultimately, Rey could have to question Faith!
