The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, April 8, teases that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will pay a visit to Chancellor Media. While she’s there, Traci will get choked up as she talks to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) about Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). After Lily offers Traci some words of wisdom, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will appear and hear a great suggestion.
While Traci’s on the phone, Lily will explain her idea to Billy. It turns out Lily wants Traci to join the team at Chancellor Media. Once Traci comes back, she’ll hear Lily and Billy’s big news.
They’ll want Traci to run the fiction division and let them publish her next novel. Although a grateful Traci won’t agree just yet, Billy and Lily will score a “maybe.”
At Crimson Lights, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will battle nervousness about his upcoming meeting with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will have faith that Theo can make things right.
Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will also fill Summer Newman (Hunter King) in on the meeting before it finally gets underway.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will insist that actions have consequences. Kyle and Theo will be given the challenge of rebranding for a major transition.
Jack will feel like they have to get back down to the basics of John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) legacy. They’ve expanded too much in Jack’s eyes, so they’re ditching the Jabot Collective.
Theo and Kyle will have seven days to figure out their rebranding plans. At the end of the week, Jack will hear their individual proposals and pick one to lead the way.
Once the meeting’s over, Kyle will corner Jack to check in. He’ll want to make sure they’re good, but Jack will remain cold and push Kyle to just focus on the task he’s been given.
After Kyle reconvenes with Summer, he’ll fret over Theo potentially doing something sneaky. Summer will think they’ve got this since she’s Kyle’s secret weapon. Y&R spoilers say Summer won’t think Theo can win against a formidable team like them.
At the clinic, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will offer Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) some encouragement as well as some guidance. Although Elena will support Nate’s date with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), she’ll think Amanda needs Nate to take this slow. Amanda’s been through a lot, so there’s no need to rush.
At Society, Amanda will briefly hug Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) in celebration over Colin Atkinson’s (Tristan Rogers) arrest. Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will witness them getting along and express surprise over their new bond.
Soon after, Jill will offer Amanda an apology for misjudging her. Once Jill’s gone, it’ll be Devon’s turn to make an offer – and this one will be for a new job. Devon will hope Amanda’s willing to handle all New Hope’s legal needs, so Amanda will agree to think about it.
Once Amanda updates Devon on her date with Nate, he’ll tell her to have a good time. As Amanda exits, Devon will watch her and seem thoughtful. Back with Theo, he’ll visit Lola in the kitchen and bring her up to speed on Jack’s challenge.
Although Theo will want to show his stuff and make Jack see how much this opportunity means to him, he’ll fret about ultimately getting the boot.
Lola will attempt to relieve Theo’s stress and help him see that Jack will appreciate his efforts. Once Theo takes off, Summer will pop in to pick up some takeout. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Summer and Lola will do some clashing over who’ll be the winner of the big challenge: Kyle or Theo.
At Jabot again, Theo and Kyle will push each other’s buttons. Although Kyle won’t think Theo knows the family business or their history, Theo will see value in his fresh perspective. At the clinic, Devon will stop by with dinner for Elena. They’ll discuss Amanda before leaning in for a kiss.
Next, Nate will be floored by how beautiful Amanda looks when he picks her up for their date. Amanda will think Nate’s looking awfully handsome, too. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda and Nate will head out for a night on the town, so we should see some crackling chemistry soon.
In the meantime, Jack will be distracted as Jill gushes about Colin’s arrest and her decision to file for divorce. After Jack shares a bit about what’s happening with Theo and Kyle, Jill will think Jack handled it correctly. Y&R spoilers say Jill will also invite Jack on a trip to St. Tropez, but he’ll decline since he can’t leave Dina behind right now.
