The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Wednesday, August 12, tease that Summer Newman will choose to be honest – and that could get her in some trouble! Sometimes it’s best to just keep your mouth shut when it comes to matters of the heart, but Summer just won’t be able to contain her true feelings.
When it comes to the topic of Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) reunion with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Summer will have a lot on her mind. There’s a good chance Summer will admit to Phyllis, Nick or both that she doesn’t think this reunion’s going to work.
Based on Nick and Phyllis’ track record, Summer will probably feel like it’ll just end in another painful disaster.
Of course, Summer has no right to talk considering she reunited with an ex of her own! Summer’s back with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) – and there’s no guarantee that’ll work out either.
Nevertheless, Summer will have a much better feeling about her “Skyle” reunion that the “Phick” mess that’s happening for the umpteenth time.
Over with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), she’ll pay Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a visit at the clinic and leave him smiling as usual. Nate will love this nice surprise, but a not-so-nice surprise will follow.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will eventually pull back from Nate a bit. She’ll hit the brakes on their blooming romance and leave Nate wondering what went wrong.
The good news is Nate definitely still has a shot with Amanda. The bad news is he’ll just have to play the waiting game and ride this out. Y&R fans can expect Amanda to face a bombshell down the road, so that’ll give her a reason to lean on Nate sooner or later.
Of course, it just wouldn’t be Genoa City without some complications, so expect Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) to get in this mix and cause some eventually.
That’s still to come, but let’s get back to Wednesday’s Y&R drama. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will wind up marching over to the Newman ranch and pushing Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) for the truth.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will assure Chelsea that everything he told Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was true. Adam killed AJ Montalvo to protect his mother, Hope Wilson (Beth Toussaint), when he was just 11 years old. Poor Adam was so traumatized that he blocked out the incident entirely.
Chelsea already seemed to suspect this was true after Adam revealed Victor’s side of the story. Even so, Chelsea will feel obligated to stand up for her fiancé. She’ll defend Adam and try to shut Victor down, but Victor will maintain that this is indeed what happened in Kansas.
Chelsea will suggest that even if what Victor’s saying is true, all they have is his word to go on. When Chelsea contends that there’s nobody to corroborate Victor’s version of events, he’ll insist that’s not the case. Chelsea should be concerned when she realizes there’s a witness who can back Victor up.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Chelsea and Victor will ultimately come together over the horrible situation. Neither of them wants this, but the truth’s out now. Victor and Chelsea will call a truce to help Adam, who’s in denial about what he did.
Chelsea and Victor may also talk about how they can keep this secret from spreading any further, but Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will have other plans. It won’t be long until Victoria stops by Chancellor Communications to give Billy updates on the story that’ll rock GC!
