The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Wednesday, January 15, tease that Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will assure Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) that she can tell him anything, then Sharon will finally say the words, “I have breast cancer.” She’ll tell Rey about finding the lump, then having the tests done. Rey will offer all his support as he realizes that this is why Sharon was so distracted before.
Sharon will say that she doesn’t want anyone else to know about the cancer until she knows what she’s dealing with – she’s scheduled for an appointment at the breast cancer center tomorrow. She’ll pull out a note with her oncologist’s name on it, and Rey will say that he wants to go with her to her appointment, and that he’ll help her ask all the questions that she needs to ask.
Rey and Sharon will be embracing tenderly when Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) comes in to pick up some of her things. She’ll immediately sense that something’s off and she’ll ask if everything’s ok. Rey will make up some explanation about how they were talking about a tough case of his, but Faith won’t really buy it. Soon, Rey and Sharon will go to pick up food, and after they leave, Faith will do some snooping.
She’ll open her mom’s tablet and the note with the oncologist’s name and clinic name will fall out. Faith will see it and immediately worry. After snapping a picture of the paper, she’ll call Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and ask him to meet her at the ranch asap. Nick will meet up with Faith a bit later, and Faith will say that Sharon was acting really weird, so she snooped and found something.
Nick will start to get worried as Faith explains that she thinks her mom is sick. Faith will show Nick the picture of Sharon’s note and he’ll read out loud: “Dr. Sheryl Blakley, Breast Cancer Center.” Shocked, Nick will realize that Sharon must have cancer.
Meanwhile, at the Grand Phoenix, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will explain to Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will be arriving soon. She’ll say that they saw Connor’s new therapist earlier and he suggested that Connor come to the hotel to face his fears.
Soon, Connor and Adam will arrive, and Connor will look around tentatively. He’ll ask his parents if they’re sure it’s safe, and if “that man” was going to come back. Adam will reassure Connor that the man is locked up in prison now and can’t hurt anyone. Abby will get Connor a special kid drink, and Adam, Chelsea, and Connor will sit in the lobby and talk.
Soon, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will come along and he’ll greet Connor. Connor will remember him from the day of the hostage standoff. Chance will sit down and tell Connor that he was impressed with how he handled himself that day – like a pro. Connor will say that he was really scared, and Chance will say that he was scared too, which will surprise Connor.
Chance will say that he couldn’t have caught the bad guy without Connor, and they made a good team. He’ll even tell Connor that the hotel is so safe that he decided to live there, plus the hotel has a pool and a cool game room. That will perk Connor up a bit, and he and Adam will head to the game room to play some arcade games. Later, Connor will feel better about the place, and about his mom working there.
Finally, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will arrive at Society and greet Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle), who will happily mention that she has some appetizers for him. She’ll deflate a bit, though, when she sees that Theo is meeting a very attractive woman for drinks. She’ll assume they’re on a date and leave them alone.
Pretty soon, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King) will arrive and they’ll greet the woman as well. As it will turn out, she’s an influencer who Theo was meeting with on business, but Kyle will sense that Lola was bugged by the fact that she thought Theo was on a date. Kyle will pull Lola aside and confront her about it, but Lola will tell Kyle to reign it in and not let it ruin their night.
Theo, Summer, and Kyle will sit for a work chat, and Theo will do all of the typical things to get under Kyle’s skin, including suggesting that Kyle and Summer extend their work trip, which Kyle will think is a way to get him out of the way. Theo and Kyle will quickly escalate, and Summer will send Kyle to the kitchen on an errand to split them up. Once in the kitchen, Kyle and Lola will fight about Kyle’s anger toward Theo.
Kyle will storm out, and Summer and Theo will notice. Theo will then needle Summer about how she was probably disappointed that Kyle and Lola weren’t fighting over her. Summer will be exasperated with Theo. It seems that Theo is doing a masterful job of coming between “Kola” as well as creating the need for Kyle to need a friend, and of course Summer will be readily available for that.
