The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, June 17, tease that viewers will see an encore episode that originally aired on July 11, 1997. The episode will feature Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore) and Olivia Winters’ (Tonya Lee Williams) wedding and is part of “Weddings Week” on the show.
The episode will begin with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) pulling a fast one on Brian Hamilton (William A. Wallace). Phyllis will flash back momentarily to switching the blood samples, and she’ll give herself a little pep talk about how much she’s accomplished. But Phyllis’ work won’t be done, and she’ll take off Brian’s clothes and get into bed with him.
When Brian wakes up, Phyllis will tell him how wonderful it was. Brian will fall for it, and he won’t want this to be goodbye, but Phyllis will tell him that it’s time that they go their separate ways. Brian will notice that something is off with his arm, as it will hurt, and Phyllis will say that perhaps he got bit by a bug.
Meanwhile, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will go to Gina’s for ice cream. At a later point, Danny will meet up with Phyllis, and he’ll press her about her upcoming prenatal visit.
Danny will want to go with her to the doctor, but Phyllis will think that’s unnecessary. Danny will insist, and he’ll gush that he wants to be involved with his baby this time around.
Elsewhere, people will begin to prepare for Malcolm and Olivia’s wedding. Ryan McNeil (Scott Reeves) will visit with Nina Webster (Tricia Cast). Ryan will want Nina to go to the wedding with him, since the wedding invitation said Mr. and Mrs. McNeil. Nina will refuse to attend the wedding saying that she hardly knows the couple.
Keith Dennison (Granville van Dusen) and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will be ready for the wedding as well. Keith will quiz his daughter Tricia Dennison (Sabryn Genet) about whether she’s going to see Ryan, but she’ll want her father to get off her case.
Megan Dennison (Ashley Jones) will be on hand as well, waiting for Jeremy Ross (James Ivy) to come by, since they’ll have plans to watch a movie. Keith will want Tricia to keep her eye on Megan and Jeremy, but Tricia will end up going to another room and calling Ryan. Tricia will ask if Ryan has been thinking about her. Ryan will hesitatingly say yes.
Over with Olivia, she’ll wake up that morning dreaming about her wedding to Malcolm. However, the dream will turn into something totally unexpected, as Malcolm will transform into Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) in her dream.
Olivia will wake up startled by the dream. Later, Drucilla Winters (Victoria Rowell) will arrive to gather everyone to go to the chapel for the wedding, but Olivia will stay behind, needing some alone time.
Finally, folks will be gathered at the chapel, but Olivia will be late to the wedding. When she finally arrives, Olivia will explain that she was tied up at the hospital for an emergency after a big pileup on the interstate. Drucilla and Olivia will hurry to get Olivia ready for the wedding, which will subsequently take place in a beautiful ceremony.
