The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday, June 24, tease that viewers will see an encore episode that originally aired on October 16, 2006. It’s currently “Emmy Winning Performances” week on the Young and the Restless, and it was this episode that helped Bryton James win the Emmy for Outstanding Younger Actor for his portrayal of Devon Hamilton.
At Newman Enterprises, Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) will blast Carmen Mesta (Marisa Ramirez) for being behind Drucilla Winters’ (Victoria Rowell) firing.
Neil will say that Carmen is relentless, but Carmen will fire back that Drucilla is the relentless one, and she’ll even say that she’s glad Drucilla is gone from the company. Later, Carmen will call attorney Will Bardwell (Ted Shackelford) to ask him to speed up the trial.
Neil will meet with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to see about Drucilla’s job, but Victoria will say that an unpaid leave is the best she can do right now, and that it was simply a business decision.
Meanwhile, Drucilla will arrive at home with a box of her things from her desk, and she’ll try to convince Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Lily Winters (Davetta Sherwood) that she just cleaned out her desk.
Lily and Devon will soon learn from Drucilla that she took a leave from work to be at home with Devon and to learn sign language. This will be a lie, and Devon will be upset to hear that Drucilla gave up her job for him.
When Devon is out of the room, Drucilla will tell Lily that Carmen was responsible for getting her fired. One thing will lead to another, and later Lily will tell Devon the truth in private.
Devon will be horrified that Drucilla lied and that she was fired thanks to Carmen. Devon will head to the office where he’ll confront Carmen in an explosive scene.
During the confrontation, Devon will tell Carmen that the Winters family had been good to him, and he’ll rant and rave with Carmen hardly able to get a word in edgewise. When Carmen tries to say that Drucilla started the problems, Devon will explode.
Devon will point out that he witnessed Carmen pursuing a married man, and he’ll wonder what kind of nut job she is. Neil will walk by the office and see the argument taking place, giving Carmen the opportunity to leave.
Neil will talk with Drucilla and agree to bring Devon home, but Devon will be sick of being treated like a child, and he’ll storm off out of the building, leaving Neil in his dust.
Elsewhere, Victoria will deal with a break-in to her car. As it will turn out, a portfolio containing her photos of an art collection she’s trying to acquire will be missing. Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) will catch up with Victoria soon, and he’ll persuade her to drop her search for the particular reliquary she’s looking for. Victoria will call off her search, but it seems that Colleen Carlton (Adrianne Leon) will pick the search up.
Even though JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) will advise Colleen not to try to locate the reliquary, she’ll soon get her art history professor, Adrian Korbel’s (Eyal Podell), in on the matter. Professor Korbel will say he’s got an inside connection to the art world, which will impress and intrigue Colleen, given her interest in the reliquary.
Finally, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will have some deception brewing where Jabot is concerned. Jack will enlist the help of Ji Min Kim (Eric Steinberg), who is the supposed head of The House Of Kim, in tricking Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). This will all be part of Jack’s plan to get control of Jabot from Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper).
Mr. Kim will come to Jabot and meet with Jill after Jill has already dismissed the idea for a supposed business deal with him and The House of Kim. Mr. Kim will throw his weight around – all as part of a plan of Jack’s – to get Jill to go along with the business deal. The whole thing will apparently work, and Jill will get played big-time by Mr. Kim.
Later, back at the Abbott mansion, Ashley will take Jack to task for undermining Jill. Jack will say that he’ll do whatever it takes to put Jabot back on top, and that Jill’s not going to get in his way. Jack will then tell Ashley that if Katherine finds out that he’s behind The House of Kim, then she’ll take back Jabot.
