The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update teases that the wedding of Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will kick off this week after much buildup to the nuptials.
As Y&R viewers know, Rey and Sharon will be getting married at Society on New Year’s Eve, and the new Y&R promo for the week of December 28 offers a nice glimpse into the ceremony.
The promo starts with Rey telling Sharon at the house that he’s marrying the woman of his dreams. Next, Society is shown looking gorgeous, decorated with beautiful white flowers, lights, and candles for the wedding.
Sharon is shown walking into the restaurant in an ivory gown, with Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) as her maid of honor and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) as Rey’s best man.
“I am proud to join my life with yours, now and forever,” Sharon says softly to Rey at the altar. “I vow to cherish you – you’re my one and only,” Rey says in return. It looks like Rey and Sharon will be reciting their own personal vows, so it should be memorable and very special for the couple.
Others should be in attendance as well, although they aren’t shown in the promo. Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) will be attending, and The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will sing an original song that she wrote specifically for the occasion.
Arturo Rosales (Jason Canela) is also to be present at the wedding, along with Celeste Rosales (Eva LaRue).
But the promo clearly shows that someone unexpected will be watching the whole thing go down – and that’s Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). As Y&R viewers know, Adam has a thing for Sharon that apparently just won’t go away, and he’s shown lurking in the kitchen at Society, watching the ceremony go down.
But Adam won’t go undetected at the wedding. Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is shown sneaking up on Adam in the kitchen and asking him what he’s doing. “What are you doing here?” Phyllis sneers at Adam, who looks totally caught in the promo.
We’ll see if Adam’s presence goes undetected by Sharon and Rey. Something tells us that Phyllis might persuade Adam to skedaddle on out of there before he causes a scene.
Rey would certainly NOT be happy to see Adam watching the wedding, and Adam would be totally outnumbered by Rey, Arturo, and Nick. Hopefully, Adam will leave quietly and not cause a kerfuffle.
