The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of January 4-8 tease that some bold moves are coming up in Genoa City. For starters, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will gather up her courage and speak to her birth mother, Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey), over the phone.
Amanda will get weepy as she admits she’s the other twin Naya gave birth to – the one that wasn’t given to Rose Turner.
Y&R fans can expect Amanda to request a meeting, but will Naya agree? The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will console Amanda in the week ahead.
Of course, that could just be in due to everything Amanda’s dealing with. Amanda might need some comfort as she prepares for the meeting – or she might need it if Naya doesn’t go for the idea.
Whatever the case, Amanda will get a firm warning later. It’s possible Naya won’t want to be contacted again, but maybe Devon could reach out and change her mind.
Naya and her other daughter, Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) are set to be recurring characters, so they’ll hopefully become part of Amanda’s life sooner or later.
As for Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), she’ll have marriage on her mind. That doesn’t necessarily mean Phyllis will be ready to walk down the aisle anytime soon, but she’ll at least consider the possibility of tying the knot with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) again someday.
Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) will also get roped into giving Phyllis ammo to use against Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Phyllis will learn the details of the Newman embezzlement that’s happened on Victoria’s watch, but what about that thumb drive?
Y&R fans can expect some concerns from Kevin, who’ll be reluctant to hand it over.
Kevin will fret over Phyllis’ plan to blackmail Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and will balk at Phyllis’ attempt to bribe him. Nevertheless, Phyllis isn’t going to give up. We wouldn’t put it past Phyllis to steal that thumb drive if she has to!
After Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) suffers a stroke due to her ruptured brain aneurysm, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be even more of a mess. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will take charge and hope he can help his son get through this ordeal.
As for Chelsea, she’ll have a hard time accepting what her new normal looks like. Chelsea’s stroke should leave Chelsea with some partial paralysis and a whole lot of new challenges to tackle. Adam will want to support Chelsea, but his guilt over the situation will be tough on him, too.
Adam will take that guilt at transfer it to someone else as a way to cope. Since the drama all started with that elevator fall at Chancellor Communications, Adam will hold Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) responsible.
Adam’s the one who caused the power outrage that led to Chelsea climbing around, but Billy started all this by targeting Adam with the “Making of a Monster” story.
While Adam blows his top at Billy, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will battle some worries about her blooming romance. Is mixing business with pleasure really such a good idea? That’s what Lily will start to wonder, so it sounds like some issues will pop up in that department.
Lily really likes Billy and wants to see where this could go, but there are definitely going to be some complications. Over with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), she’ll be pleased when Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) rushes to her defense.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Jack will do whatever he can to help Sally and make sure she’s protected.
Summer Newman (Hunter King) may feel like Sally’s already pulled the wool over Jack’s eyes. It turns out Summer will decide she needs to take a trip to Sally’s old stomping grounds. Summer will want to do some digging in Los Angeles and get the goods on Sally!
If all goes well, Summer will hope she can come home with the upper hand. Summer will fill Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) in on her plan, so they may work together on this to some extent.
However, Kyle will shift his focus to Billy before long. Billy will take over some plan of Kyle’s and leave him furious!
Finally, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will heat things up. Elena’s been dragging her feet with Nate, but it seems she’ll be a bit more open to their new romance in the week ahead.
That doesn’t mean Elena will just forget about Devon, but Nate should be encouraged by the hope Elena gives him.
