The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of March 16-20 tease that Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will face total heartbreak. She’s been reluctant to apologize to Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) out of fear that she might be rejected. However, Mariah can’t leave them stuck in relationship limbo. She owes Tessa an apology as well as an explanation for her wild behavior.
On Tanner Watts’ (Chase Coleman) private jet, Mariah will show up to spill all the secrets she’s been keeping. She’ll express regret for sleeping with Lindsay (Kirby Bliss Blanton) and will talk about the events leading up to it.
Tessa will get updates on Power Communications folding before Mariah reveals Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cancer diagnosis. It’ll hurt Tessa that Mariah couldn’t open up to her.
Next, Mariah will really put her heart on the line. She’ll cry and beg Tessa for another chance, but the wound will be too deep. Tessa will insist this was over the second Mariah betrayed her. She’ll think Mariah should leave, but Mariah won’t know how to say goodbye. After everything they’ve been through, Mariah will struggle to let the love of her life slip away.
Later, Mariah will bring Sharon up to speed at the cottage. She’ll break down in tears again as she reflects on her massive mistake. Mariah thought if she could just tell Tessa how sorry she was, then maybe Tessa would forgive her. She’ll tell Sharon that she just has to accept that it’s over, but Sharon may disagree.
After all, Tessa hasn’t had any time to process what she’s learned. She needs a chance to mull everything over – especially Sharon’s breast cancer. That doesn’t excuse Mariah’s cheating, but it was an important factor in why she went spinning out.
Plus, Mariah has forgiven Tessa for many mistakes of her own. Sharon might remind Mariah that she once stood in that very room and suggested things couldn’t be fixed with Tessa.
After Tessa blackmailed the cover-up crew and lied, Mariah felt like something broke between them. Mariah figured they’d never get back together, but they did and were quite blissful up until Mariah got busy with the bartender!
Of course, Mariah might feel like this is different – and she’d be right. This is a far more personal betrayal. Cheating directly affected their relationship in a way that Tessa’s betrayal didn’t.
Even so, Sharon is rooting for her daughter’s romance. No one has made Mariah happier than Tessa, so she’ll most likely push Mariah to keep fighting. Isn’t true love worth it?
Based on The Young and the Restless’ weekly preview video, Mariah will have a grand gesture in mind. It looks like she’ll interrupt Tessa’s tour and make another heartfelt plea. A microphone can be seen in Mariah’s hand at one point, so we can’t rule out a little singing – which would certainly be a powerful way to move Tessa.
Regardless, The Young and the Restless spoilers confirm that a “Teriah” reunion is indeed coming. Mariah just has to fight for forgiveness and make Tessa see that they’re still meant to be! Stick with CDL for other hot Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
