The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers preview for the week of October 12-16 teases that we’ll see some determined Genoa City residents. Y&R fans can expect Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) to try a new strategy that she hopes will get Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) to back down.
Chelsea recently tried to convince Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to leave town with her, but he’ll refuse to run off with his tail between his legs. Adam will want to stay and fight, so Chelsea will decide she’s going to help.
During another visit to Chancellor Communications, Chelsea will drop a bomb on Billy. She’ll declare that she wants to spend some time with Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare), so Billy will immediately flip out.
Of course, Chelsea is Johnny’s biological mother, so she’ll want to work this angle and rile Billy up. Chelsea recently insisted that if she knew Billy and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) would turn out to be so vicious, she never would’ve let them adopt Johnny.
Once Chelsea shows up demanding time with her bio son, Billy will know Chelsea’s ready to play dirty. All’s fair in love and war!
Besides, Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) bound to be hurt when he eventually reads that merciless article about his father. Chelsea will think Billy stooped to this level first, so she’ll have no problem rattling his cage on the topic of Johnny and her plans for him.
It doesn’t seem like there’d be any possible way to undo the adoption this late in the game, but then again – this is a soap and Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) did imply Billy should be prepared to lose what matters most to him.
However, Chelsea obviously doesn’t want Johnny back – and it’s doubtful she’ll really want to hang out with the kid either. This is all about using Chelsea’s best leverage and hopefully getting Billy to ditch any Adam sequel story ideas.
Chelsea might hint that she’d be willing to forget about Johnny visitation if Billy will forget about his next expose.
Billy isn’t going to react well to Chelsea dragging Johnny into this battle, but let’s shift gears and talk about a crucial investigation. Now that Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) knows Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) is the federal agent tied to what happened with Adam in Vegas, Chance’s job at the GCPD is up in the air.
Paul will be back on the scene to do a little more digging and figure out if he can trust Chance enough to let him come on board as a detective. At Crimson Lights, Chance will push Paul to give it to him straight. He’ll want to know if he’ll be able to join the department or if Paul’s rescinding his offer.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Paul will seem nervous about hiring Chance, but he may agree to make him a detective on a trial basis. One wrong move and Chance could be out the door just as fast! There’s definitely the potential for more trouble as long as Chance stays connected to Adam.
Finally, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will summon a nervous Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and put him through an interrogation. Since Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) has been acting so weird, Devon will feel like something’s going on with her – and he’ll think Nate may know what it is.
Nate will dodge the questions he can and offer some vague answers to the rest. He won’t want to divulge the news that he slept with Devon’s girlfriend at the clinic, so Nate and Elena’s secret should stay under wraps for now.
