The Young and the Restless spoilers document that devoted Y&R fans are watching classic episodes while patiently waiting for new episodes. Of course, patience is a subjective noun.
With production expected to resume very soon, the prospect of fresh storylines await. When the next show arrives fans will see the characters they’ve been longing for. But which characters do they want to see more of in Genoa City, Wisconsin?
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Regular Characters Can Be Considered
All regular players are seen quite often. For example, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) are involved in ongoing storylines, which allow viewers to be very familiar with each character’s plight.
The Newman family, in particular, receives plenty of air time as one of the enduring legacy families on this show. They are popular, which means that viewers already like seeing Victor and his clan. They may want to see even more of them when new episodes begin.
Phyllis and her daughter, Summer Newman (Hunter King), are backed by some within the audience. Both could be classified as polarizing figures, which is a testament to the solid acting chops that Stafford and King possess.
The audience has seen plenty from this duo within the last year, as central storylines have included them. But a desire to want even more is possible.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Recurring Players Whet Daytime Appetite
The Chancellor’s predate the Newman’s and the Abbott’s, with Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) presence enabling this most famous name to still be used in modern times. Katherine Chancellor’s (Jeanne Cooper) husband, Phillip Chancellor II (as last played by Donnelly Rhodes), is Chance’s grandfather.
But the Chancellor mansion isn’t a place where Chance is usually seen. Esther Valentine (Kate Linder) first appeared in 1973, when Y&R debuted. She’s the longest tenured actor and deserves more air time.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Various Faces Need To Be Seen
Lily Winters (as now played by Christel Khalil) was born in the mid 1990’s. Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) was written into the show in the mid 2000’s. This sister-brother combo is connected to Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), who is their cousin and was born in the mid 1990’s as well. It’s always good to see Lily, Devon, and Nate and they offer a link to a treasured link to their parents and to one of Y&R’s glory eras.
Nate’s late father, Nathan Hastings (Nathan Purdee), was first seen on Y&R in the mid 1980’s. It would be wonderful if his mother, Olivia Hastings (Tonya Williams), returned to town soon.
It’s been great to see Khalil’s return to the cast. It would also be enjoyable to see Lily’s twins, Mattie Ashby (Lexie Stevenson) and Charlie Ashby (Noah Alexander Gerry), and their father, Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) come back to GC. Stevenson, Gerry, and Goddard aren’t currently part of the cast.
Along with the above, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) and Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) became recurring characters in recent years, along with Esther’s daughter, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), and her husband, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart). The Baldwin’s and the expanding Khloe family are welcomed any time on YR.
Surely there are other cast members, or past characters, that fans would like to see when new episodes begin airing. CDL is a leading source for everything linked to The Young and the Restless. Check back regularly for Y&R spoilers and news!
