The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) has better days ahead. Y&R fans know Sharon’s faced a difficult ordeal due to her breast cancer diagnosis and the battle that followed. Sharon’s tough journey brought lots of tears and fears, but it’s also been a story of hope and strength. No matter how bleak things seemed, Sharon relied on her loved ones and kept fighting.
Thankfully, Sharon will survive and thrive following her surgery. The Young and the Restless spoilers Sharon will eventually recover and start a new chapter. Will that new chapter include getting engaged to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso)?
It seems likely Rey will pop the question once Sharon’s health is truly stable again, but there could be new obstacles that land in their path.
No soap couple stays happy forever, so “Shey” may not be headed down the aisle. It’s possible Y&R will let Rey and Sharon become husband and wife, but a couple shakeup could just as easily be brewing.
Since Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is the love of Sharon’s life, the door’s always going to be open for a “Shick” reunion.
The Young and the Restless viewers know Nick and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will crash and burn sooner or later. It’s just a matter of time until “Phick” ends in an epic flameout, so Y&R will need to pair Nick up with someone else. Nick tends to gravitate toward his exes, so Sharon seems like a good contender for his next repeat love interest.
Will Nick cause problems for Sharon and Rey? Could Nick end up derailing their engagement? Rey has proven he has trust issues when it comes to Sharon and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but Sharon and Nick’s bond is the strong one right now. It could be the true threat that Rey may not even see coming – at least not initially.
Nick and Rey have become pretty good friends thanks to Sharon’s cancer storyline, so it makes sense to keep Nick involved here and make things messy. Rey and Nick’s friendship could dissolve into a rivalry if that’s how Y&R writers want to take this.
After all, Sharon has grown quite close to Nick again. Since Sharon and Nick frequently share tender moments, they could cross back over into romantic territory at any time. Nick may be too close for comfort! Will Nick pose a threat to Rey and Sharon’s future? Will Nick wreck his own future with Phyllis in the process?
