TLC 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days spoilers tease that Ash Naeck has another side to himself that came out as he was arguing with Avery Warner. As 90 Days viewers know, Ash and Avery spent last Sunday’s episode of the program on the outs, as Ash continued to melt down after his disastrous performance at a relationship seminar. Ash crashed and burned at the seminar, and when Avery quizzed him afterwards about his beliefs about men and women, Ash had some big reactions.
First, in typical Ash style, he got defensive and tried to turn the situation back onto Avery. When Avery wouldn’t fall for this tactic, Ash simply shut down and walked off.
Later, it became apparent that Ash was upset with Avery for failing to support him and offer him comfort after the relationship seminar debacle. But Avery was more interested in learning more about Ash’s feelings about men and women – something Ash didn’t want to discuss.
Instead, Ash wanted Avery to simply accept that his beliefs were accurate, and he didn’t seem to want to entertain the possibility that other people could have an opinion on the matter of gender roles and what works best for them in relationships.
Well, things didn’t get any better for Ash and Avery throughout the evening after the seminar. As viewers watched uncomfortably, Ash paced and talked to the cameras from one room while Avery sat in another room waiting for Ash to become ready to talk.
Ash angrily swore and packed up all of his belongings, while Avery told the cameras that she’s never seen Ash like this before. Ash was truly melting down, and he didn’t even know how to approach Avery with a disagreement. It was like his fight-or-flight instinct was taking over and he was about to either explode on Avery or just run off altogether.
Well, it doesn’t look like time really calms Ash down – in fact, it might just make him more agitated and hostile. Ash is shown in the previews for next Sunday’s episode yelling at Avery and telling her to “show me something – tell me you love me!”
It looks like Ash still wants unwavering support from Avery…even if she personally disagrees with him. This is particularly troubling and suggests that Ash really does believe some of the gender theories he was spouting at the seminar.
Does Ash really expect Avery to not inquire about his beliefs and just to accept them if she disagrees with him? After all, the whole point of getting to know someone prior to a marriage is to…well…get to know the person, and if Ash is unwilling to allow Avery to engage in a discussion with him about his beliefs, then that doesn’t bode well for their relationship going forward.
We’ll see if Ash and Avery can overcome this serious obstacle, but since Ash is the obstacle right now, it’s not looking good. Of course, as viewers know, this is all happening at a time when Avery is supposed to go meet Ash’s ex-wife and son, so if they don’t get this difference worked out, then not only could that meeting be off, but their entire relationship could be kaput.
