At Micah and Moriah’s house, they are getting ready to go to the lake. Micah is thrilled to be getting out on the water, he looks forward to a good day. Max is also there and he packs up some drinks and snacks for everyone. Micah tells them a friend of his is joining them, he hasn’t seen her in seven or eight years, her name is Saralyn. When she arrives, she is surprised at how much Micah has changed. She was raised similar to Micah, she was also homeschooled, but not as strict.
Last year, Moriah was thinking about college, and hearing Saralyn talking about being in college now, makes her really want to pursue it. They arrive at the lake. Meanwhile, Olivia and Ethan are heading out of Joshua Tree. He has a surprise for her, to help their relationship to continue to move forward. He spoke to a lady who gets into their inner selves to help them focus more on each other, she even gives them sexy homework. Ethan is nervous, he really hopes she is going to like it. They arrive at Fire Garden Metalworks.
Olivia is quite nervous, Ethan thinks the grounds look like something right out of a horror movie. A woman, Triambaka, meets them and says that they are going to talk about tantra. Olivia tells her she knows nothing about this, it is a surprise and looks very awkward. Triambaka tells them that it is her aim to help their love come even closer together; deeper intimacy and getting to know each other better.
They walk through the gardens and there are bed under trees, Ethan doesn’t know what he got them into. Triambaka asks questions, the air continues to be awkward and tense. But, Olivia finally gets into it. Then Ethan follows suit. It brings up some feelings, Olivia is all teary-eyed. It all has to do with the beginning of their relationship when Ethan wouldn’t pick up for her in front of his family.
Back to the lake, Moriah and Saralyn talk about college. Saralyn says she is happy that she did go and her mom has since changed her mind about it. It gives Moriah a little hope about her drams and her mom. Next, foursome go kayaking and Micah has to admit, he loves to experience life and get out of this comfort zone. They see alligators, Moriah is freaking out. Next, they find a tall tree they can climb and all climb it and jump into the water. Moriah loves sharing these moments with Max, they call themselves partners in crime.
Micah is getting lots of DM’s from a modelling agency, he calls them and speaks to Bridget. She says they are super excited about him. She tells him that Miami is the place to be for modelling, she is calling from Select, a very up and coming modelling agency. She sets him up for a meeting with their team for the following week.
Olivia is at the beach working when Ethan shows up. It is one of the first times that he has been able to see her in her zone and he hopes she is happy with the gift that he has brought for her. After Olivia finishes her shoot, Ethan opens up everything in his backpack, it is a picnic in front of the water. Olivia tells him that this is a great way to say peace out California.
Micah and Moriah go to Joshua’s grave, it is going on twelve years that he died. Moriah says she feels that if Joshua was there, he would have been close with Micah. She feels like Joshua watches her all the time and feels it is good to visit his grave. All of sudden, Their parents and siblings show up. Kim says that after his death, she didn’t cope with it well, she really wanted to die.
She reads something she wrote about the memories she has of Joshua. Barry says he never went into accusation mode with Kim because he knew she was going through a lot. Moriah says they all went through it together. Kim and Barry say if they can get through this, they can get they can get through anything.
In San Diego, Ethan pulls out a diamond ring for Olivia, he tells her it is a promise to give her the wedding that she has always wanted. He knows the first ring for the wedding has bad feelings associated with it, so he is hoping this one will bring good feelings. Olivia loves it and feels it symbolizes a fresh start.
