Keagan Capps is first, she is excited, she has always dreamed to be on this stage and can’t believe that it is happening. Her piece is about a tornado that happened in her home town back in 2013. She wants to honor her home town and all the lives lost.

Judges Comments: Jennifer: “This piece looked like you were in the eye of the storm, you were the tornado, you were all over that stage and it still surprises me because you are strong and agile. It is beautiful to watch.” Derek: “I call you my little alien because what you can do with your body is out of this world. I felt that at times the music didn’t match up with you.” Ne-Yo: “I will agree with Derek, the music and your moves really didn’t come together. You are an amazing dancer, that was an amazing piece.”

Judges Scores: Ne-Yo 90, Jennifer 90, Derek 92 = 90.7

Upeepz are feeling great about their next performance, it showcases their cultural dances and their roots.

Judges Comments: Derek: “You guys just ooze passion. I feel like your passion for dance so much, I love that you brought your culture into this piece. For me it started a little slow and then actually that moment with the bamboo, I appreciated it, but it dipped the energy. But, I will say this, you finished strong and that is important.” Ne-Yo: “I loved when the fans came out, the part that threw me was the bamboo-part, but everything was there. It was a rollercoaster, it had its ups and its downs.” Jennifer: “You guys are a strong group, that is why you are here, you dance like one. The routine didn’t all come together for me.”

Judges Scores: Ne-Yo 89, Jennifer 88, Derek 90 = 89.0

Jake and Chau want to show that dance can be a career, you can do it for a living.

Judges Comments: Jennifer: “Wow, OMG, goosies. It was funny, I didn’t get them until afterwards. Those are the things that make you a winner and a champion. That was my best semi-finals performance that I have seen so far.” Derek: “You guys have been so consistent throughout this competition which is difficult. Now our expecations are high and you have to do something exception, and you did that with this performance. It was the right amount of danger.” Ne-Yo: “That felt like love. Everytime we see you I love the level of trust we see, well done.”

Judges Scores: Jennifer 95, Ne-Yo 96, Derek 96 = 95.3

Bailey & Kida hope the judges can see that they have worked on their chemistry.

Judges Comments: Jennifer: “You are both probably the best hip hop dancers that we have ever had on the show, honestly. That was a tough routine and you guys did an amazing job.” ” Ne-Yo: “It is a major risk pulling out a prop and in this case, I think it may have worked against you. It didn’t allow you to be as clean and tight as you regularily are.” Derek: “I have to disagree with Ne-Yo I think you guys stepped up your game showing us things that you haven’t done before. You have to take those risks in the semi finals and I appreciate that, thank you.”

Judges Scores: Ne-Yo 92, Derek 92, Jennifer 95 = 93.0

Oxygen are hoping to show the judges they can stick to their identity, but at the same time be different.

Judges Comments: Ne-Yo: “What we just saw was moving art just now. That was amazing.” Jennifer: “I could feel everything you were feeling, how much you wanted, how you wanted everyone to make every move right and it worked. It takes that kind of love, passion and leadership. It was so beautiful.” Derek: “You guys were so good, so theatrical, the difference styles.”

Judges Scores: Derek 94, Jennifer 97, Ne-Yo 98 = 96.3

MDC 3 are stronger because of their challenge, they feel worthy enough to win the competition.

Judges Comments: Jennifer: “Wow, you guys are the most incredible dancers. I am left speechless when I am up here, I don’t have all the words to describe what I just saw. The level of emotion and intensity was so much to take in.” Derek: “You three individually are so stunning. And your movement, your ability to create energy on that dance floor. I could just watch one of you and be satisfied and impressed and moved. But three of you together being able to tell these stories, I am grateful to just be watching you guys dance on that stage, I know how much work was put into it, thank you.” Ne-Yo: “The story is only as good as the people telling it. I can only say how I felt and I don’t get goosies, but tonight I had them.”

Judges Scores: Ne-Yo 94, Jennifer 98, Derek 98 = 96.7

The two acts to make it to the finals are MDC 3 and Oxygen.

THE END!
