In tonight’s 7 Little Johnsons episode, over the weekend, Jonah moved out. He packed up his stuff and he left with a few things. But he still needed to collect the rest. Jonah went over there on tonight’s episode to get his stuff. He talked with his family and they asked about Ashley. Ashley hadn’t known he moved out right away. Jonah had waited to tell her because he hadn’t wanted to mention he moved in with Bryant and so his family had to push him into telling her.
Jonah has been with Ashley for two years. She was ready to move in together and that wasn’t where Jonah wanted to be right now in his life. The two talked. They worked out any issues and Ashley later went with the family to the Little Person Conference. The family ran into some old friends while they were soaking up the sun.
They enjoyed time at the pool. They all got to hang out and to just enjoy themselves after two years of stress and pandemic. Elizabeth’s boyfriend Brice even came along. Neither he nor Ashley were sharing a room with their significant others because their parents’ rules and so Jonah was actually sharing a room with Brice while they were in Florida.
Not that he complained. Brice was happy to go on vacation because the many activities that were planned and he was one of the people that enjoyed the rides on the jet ski while Ashley not so much. Ashley hated riding on the jet ski. She thought they were going too fast and that she was at risk of falling off. And so she tried to tell her boyfriend to slow down but he wasn’t listening.
Jonah loves speed. He loves danger. He doesn’t mind if he gets hurt as long as he has a great time and so Ashley was the exact opposite. She hates being scared. She hated feeling like she could fall off at any given moment and Jonah knew this. He knew it and ignored it. Other than that, everyone had a great time.
Amber and Trent especially enjoyed this trip because it was the first with their friends Heidi and Jay. Heidi used to go with them when she was a single mom. She would bring along her two kids and they would have a great time. But this year was the first she got to bring along her new husband Jay. Jay was also a little person. He was from Manchester, UK. He had a great accent and he and Heidi discussed how they first met.
Heidi had friended him over social media. She then sent him some dms because she couldn’t tell if he was a little person or not by his photos and he in turn responded in spite of her profile photo being of her with all the kids. He later told her that he actually thought she had several baby daddies and that his duty as a stepdad might involving a lot of pickups. Thankfully, Heidi only has two kids. She now realizes her profile picture might have pushed guys away all these years and that just makes her extra grateful to have Jay. The two couples had lunch away from the kids. They just hung out and they were all together when the family later were parasailing. Anna was one of the first to go up.
She couldn’t see anything because she didn’t have her glasses with her. But she also didn’t throw up and so that was good. Trent didn’t want to go up. He wasn’t afraid to admit he didn’t like the only thing underneath to be air as well as a plummeting fall to the ocean. The family later went to the aquarium. A local aquarium that allowed them to touch snakes and hold alligators. The family got a behind the scenes tour. They got to do stuff that normal people wouldn’t have and it helped take their minds off of things. Amber got a call from the principle. He wants her to come in next week for a meeting with a couple of others and she doesn’t know what its about. It could be good or bad. Amber didn’t want to worry about it.
Trent also didn’t want to worry about his situation. They focused on their vacation or at least tried to and their vacation was amazing. But Amber couldn’t just dismiss the call. She went up to the room during the bonfire to try and find out what the meeting is about. She wanted to know if she was going to get fired and the truth is something different. The truth was more like an extended sentence. Amber was told that she has to become a certified teacher by 2024. She teaches but she wasn’t a certified teacher. She went to college for about a year when she dropped out to get married and to start a family with Trent. Then the kids came along. Amber stayed home to be with them. They also kept adding to their family and so she never had the time to return back to school. And now she has to or else she’ll be out of a job.
