Tonight’s episode of 7 Little Johnsons opens and Trent cooks several pies. Amber rolls her eyes. Trent calls the kids in. He wants to have a pie eating contest. They set a timer and eat. Alex and Emma got apple pie. They liked it. Alex definitely ate the most. Anna didn’t like her pie. It was peaches and it was sour.
Jonah talks with his girlfriend Ashley via Facetime. They make plans to meet up. Trent, Amber and the family are going with him to North Carolina to get away during covid.
The family meets up with Ashley near the Biltmore. They all sit and eat. They talk to Haley about her family. They cannot wait to meet them. They talk about what will happen if their relationship progresses. Amber jokes that Jonah is allowed to move to North Carolina. Jonah wonders if she is serious. His parents have spoken about him moving out eventually, pointing out that he will be 21 soon.
The family takes a carriage ride around the Biltmore. They joke and tease Trent when he says they can leaf peep. Later, they head to an apple festival in North Carolina. The kids look for apple fritters, anything made of apples but they don’t see anything. They end up buying apples. Ashley’s mom and step dad show up. They all hang out at the festival. Trent, Ashley’s step dad and Jonah branch off and hang out.
Amber sits and talks with Ashley and her mom. Amber talks about how Jonah has grown a lot since he has been with Ashley. Meanwhile, Trent and Ashley’s step dad make jokes about weddings and houses. Jonah is surprised. They have only been dating for a little under a year.
The next day, the family heads to see waterfalls. They follow a trail that is easy for them all to go on. Ashley’s dad goes with them. After spending time out in the woods, it is time to say goodbye and wrap up the weekend. Jonah and Ashley say goodbye.
The family is back home. Alex decides to cut up the apples he bought to make a pie. Trent shows him some tips when cutting apples. Amber worries he is gong to cut himself. Alex makes apple fritters. The whole family tries them. They all love them.
Trent and Amber get into bed. They talk about the weekend and Jonah and Ashley. They have a feeling Jonah and Ashley will be settling down sooner than they think.
