In tonight’s 7 Little Johnstons episode, Trent’s childhood friend and wife are coming to visit. The family has decided to spruce up their home with plants outside. Trent and Amber think this is a great way to show them how to maintain a home. Liz is weeks away from moving out on her own. They hope this will show her how to be a good renter. Plus, they want to show how little people can also do things like this.
Trent gets up on the roof and uses a blower to clean the gutters. The kid’s plant flowers. Trent tries to share his knowledge with Jonah. They are very opposite though as Jonah says he will just hire someone. Trent gets Jonah up on a ladder and shows him how to clean the gutters.
Anna is also looking to move out. She sits down with Trent to go over her budget. She is looking for a full-time job. Trent tells her to look for the job first then look. They get into a dispute over her funds.
Liz and Anna go shopping for odds and ends for both their apartments. Liz has officially signed her lease while Anna is still looking. At the store, they look around. Anna sees a toilet scrubber. She shares she doesn’t need one, she doesn’t poop that much. Liz is mortified. They head to their rented storage facility after. Anna drops the bags on the ground. Liz is annoyed.
Amber and Trent make their bed as they discuss Anna and how she needs a full-time job. She isn’t being realistic. Anna is very stubborn. Trent jokes that he plans to move out. Amber would miss him. She laughs.
Trent and Amber sit down with Jonah to discuss his budget. He doesn’t think he needs a budget. They continue to try and talk to him. He thinks he is going to make a lot of money selling cars. They want him to lowball his budget but he is against this. He thinks his dad just wants him to say what he wants to hear.
Jonah, Liz, and Anna go to the batting cages. Anna is a little scared to get hurt. They talk about all moving out. Jonah wants out right away. Anna is still looking. Liz is leaving soon. Jonah is sick of arguing with their parents. Jonah feels like even when he moves out they will have a bad relationship.
Trent’s childhood best friend Ronnie and his wife come to visit. They order pizza and talk about their kids getting jobs and how tough it is for little people. They talk about their own experience of rejection. Ronnie shares how he and his son used to butt heads and since then he had to step back and let his son learn on his own. Now they are best friends.
Trent and Amber are glad to hear all of this and get advice from their friends who have been down this same road.
