In tonight’s America’s Got Talent episode, live from Hollywood, it was “America’s Got Talent: The Results”. It was the first live show of the season and it was all about the acts that performed yesterday. There are twelve acts in all however all seven will go through to the next round. The audience and even the judges had to cut the acts down to seven. It was brutal. It was also necessary.
Not every act could make it to the Finals and so it’s better that only the great ones made it through. This season was back to its usual self with the audience and also Simon. Simon had to drop out last season because of an injury. He was back and he was just as mean and precise as ever. The judges all have had plenty to say this season with the latest acts.
There were fun acts. The ones with kids and dogs. Then there was the daredevil that almost killed himself on stage with a chainsaw. The chainsaw had actually got a little too close to the escape artist and he felt it on his beard when he finally escaped. There was also Nightbird. She won Simon’s golden buzzer and unfortunately, she had to drop out of the competition because of her cancer.
Her audition has been one of the most-watched videos on YouTube. Everyone was moved by her story and they were glad they could check in with her tonight. She’s doing well. She felt bad about letting people down but Simon told her that she didn’t let anyone down because her story moved everyone and it provided a great source of inspiration.
Now, back to the twelve acts. They all dreamed of winning the competition and becoming a headliner in Las Vegas. Only not everyone is going to win votes. The three acts in danger were named as Beyond Belief Dance Company, Madilyn Bailey, and Kabir Singh.
They needed the Instant Save to stay in the competition. The Instant Save was open until the end of the episode and so many could still vote for them. The first act to make it through to the Semi-finals was 1aChord. They beat out Gangstagrass to become the first act to find out they were safe and the judges only had kind words for them. They were incredibly talented. They gave one of the best performances of the night and so they just needed to keep that momentum.
There was a live performance from Brandon Leake next. He read out a new poem and it was beautiful. Everyone enjoyed it. The show soon returned to the results and the second act to make it through to the Semi-finals was Gina Brillon. She beat out the Canine Stars as well as Sethward. Gina was so stunned that she asked if this was actually happening and it was. Gina was full of new material. Howie sees her at the club all the time. He didn’t remember her name before but he remembers it now and he loves Gina. He sees her as a true contender for the Finals. The next act making it into the Semi-finals was Peter Rosalita and Jimmie Herrod. They went up against each other only to find out they both made it.
The next group was Dustin Tavella and Matt Johnson. The two men both really wanted to make it to the next round and they ended up hugging when it was revealed that Dustin made it through. There was a performance by Darci Lynne. She was the preteen ventriloquist who blew everyone away during her season and she came back tonight to give another stellar performance. Hearing Darci sings always put smiles on faces. Everyone was left in a much better mood than they were before and they couldn’t wait to hear the rest of the results. The three Instant Save acts were brought back. It was determined that America voted to save Kabir Singh. The comedian was funny and he was just so glad to finally be living out his dream that it took him a while to leave the stage.
After the winner of the Instant Save had been announced, that only left one thing. The judges now have to decide between Madilyn Bailey and Beyond Belief Dance Company. The judges deliberated. Heidi voted for Beyond Belief Dance Company. Sofia voted for Beyond Belief Dance Company. Howie voted for Madilyn. Simon voted Madilyn. Madilyn won the vote to go to the next round.
