In tonight’s AGT episode, the episode begins with Terry Crews reminding us that it is week two of the live shows and we will see the second group of AGT quarter-finalists.
Our judges are back, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandell, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum.
T.3. performs, they are a vocal harmony group from New York, NY.
Judge’s Comments: Sofia: “I think you are something I shouldn’t like but I love it and enjoy it. But, I did prefer your first performance.” Howie: “We have seen boy bands, but your harmonies are seamless. Your DM’s are going to blow up. Simon: “I think this was a great idea with a horrible track. You are really great singers, this could have been a real moment and you blew it. Heidi: “I prefer when you sing acapella, I am a little underwhelmed.
Dokteuk Crew is a dance group from Daejeon, South Korea. Their competition is tough, but they are ready to win and show the judges and America something they have never seen before.
Judge’s Comments: Howie: “I loved it, not enough orange, and your masks were too low.” Simon: “We lost you and your personality in that performance. I don’t know what happened.” Heidi: “I really like you guys, I can see how much you rehearsed. You gave us special moments, it elevated the whole dance.” Sofia: “It was a little too orange for me, the dancing was spectacular, super synchronized. A little less orange, I was confused.
Johnny Showcase is a singing comedic music group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Simon and Howie hit the red buzzers, they are not impressed.
Judge’s Comments: Howie: “I think if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. This was not funny. I didn’t get the joke, comedy is not my thing.” Simon: “It was horrific, honestly. It was so good the first time. This song about an octopus was horrible.” Heidi: “I feel the funk, the hairy armpits, I loved it and it was hilarious.” Sofia: “Everybody is going crazy, you lost your essence. What does the octopus have to do with anything?”
Tory Vagasy is a 20-year-old singer, her ultimate dream is to be on Broadway, she is from Pompano Beach, Florida.
Judge’s Comments: Howie: “I think you are an amazing singer, you deserve to be on Broadway, but in this lane, I don’t think you have a chance.” Simon: “Tory you know who you are and where you want to be. It started off good and ended great. Compared to everything else we have seen, you are the best act tonight.” Heidi: “It was a flawless performance, you are a princess.” Sofia: “There is nothing bad to say about you, you are real. Don’t worry if you don’t win, Broadway is waiting for you.”
Shuffolution is a dance shuffling group from Los Angeles, California.
Judge’s Comments: Howie: “I think there is a lot of pressure this year. I saw you fall, its not your fault but you got up like a professional.” Simon: “Your audition was one of my favorites, that was a huge step backward for me. We lost you, I am really disappointed.” Heidi: “I love the energy, the shuffling, but it does get repetitive.” Sofia: “I didn’t like the song, today felt more like cheerleaders. Last time there was more dancing, but you guys are great.
Aidan Bryant is 16 years old, he is an acrobatic aerialist from Prince George, Virginia, tonight he is doing more death-defying stunts.
Judge’s Comments: Howie: “I have always been impressed with you. I love what you did, when you went from trick to trick, you spent a lot of time.” Simon: “You had no safety mat, this is the best live performance in the Dolby by a mile, this is a star in the making, a Vegas act, you are the one to beat.” Sofia: “I don’t much about anything, but I do know that you are great, I love you.” Heidi: “You are an inspiration to so many, we have seen people do this for ten or fifteen years, you have been doing it for two, you are amazing. I love it so much.
Northwell Nurse Choir is a singing Chorale Group from Long Island, New York.
Judge’s Comments: Howie: “I just feel so emotional. This is a story that I cannot detach from who you are and how you sound. It was a beautiful moment.” Simon: “I believe America and the world needs you right now. You put your lives at risk to save other people, I salute you.” Sofia: “It was spectacular, it was making me cry and I was trying not to. It was emotional and spiritual, thank you.” Heidi: “Thank you for being on AGT, vote everyone.
Positive Impact Movement is an acrobatic group from Los Angeles, California. Simon hit the red buzzer.
Judge’s Comments: Howie: “I don’t agree but, I don’t think it was that messy, but I liked last time much better.”
Simon: “The buzzer was because this was a mess, the balls are too small, it was messy, no Magic Mike. “ Sofia: “I think everyone loved it, you guys make it look fresh and different. I thought it was great and the bodies are great.” Heidi: “Only on AGT can you see this kind of act, I liked it. I didn’t even hear Simon’s red buzzer.
Peter Antoniou is a mentalist from Seattle, Washington.
Judge’s Comments: Howie: “It is unbelievable what you do, even working with Simon, you came through with flying colors.” Heidi: “I love how there are so many lawyers to your act and it is super engaging.” Simon: “You are a wizard.”
Korean Soul is a singing vocal harmony group from Seoul, Korea. They will be singing, “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing,” by Aerosmith.
Judges Comments: Heidi: “It was definitely different to hear the song like this, this time it was all about you, last time it was about the group, I missed that.” Sofia: “I love it, I loved the outfits, you are getting into it.” Simon: “I like you, I am with Heidi, I miss the harmonies we saw in the first audition. The song was very predictable, you have to take more risks.” Howie: “That was my personal favorite moment of the night.”
Josh Blue is a 42-year-old stand-up comedian from Los Angeles, California.
Judge’s Comments: Howie: “You are amazing, you are funny, you are informative, you are topical, you are a superstar. You teach us and you are the best medicine.” Sofia: “You are funny, you know it, you are amazing and inspirational.” Simon: “You are very naughty, we need people like you in a live show. I love you, I adore you and I think you are going to make the finals.” Heidi: “You are funny and one of a kind, we are lucky to have you.”
Victory Brinker is a 9-year-old singer who got the golden buzzer from all four judges and Terry Crews at the same time.
Judge’s Comments: Simon: “I know nothing about classical music. Carrie Underwood auditioned for me and I told her she was going to sell millions and millions of records and I predict it again. You have a special talent.” Sofia: “I didn’t even know someone your age could sing like that.” Heidi: “You are the most amazing gift, you are the cherry on top.” Howie: “I know you are going to make it, you are great, what a night.”
