Tonight on the CW the series Batwoman airs with an all-new Sunday, June 27, 2021, season 2 episode 18 finale and we have your Batwoman recap below. In tonight’s episode called, “Power” as per the CW synopsis, “In the Batwoman season finale, Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) questions her place as the city’s hero as she, Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), Mary Hamilton (Nicole Kang) and Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy) must join forces when Black Mask (guest star Peter Outerbridge) instigates chaos in the Gotham streets.
Meanwhile, Alice’s attempt to rescue her sister means another encounter with Circe (guest star Wallis Day). In an epic standoff, unexpected alliances and transformations will upend Gotham as we know it.”

In tonight’s Batwoman episode, Sophie and Ryan are talking about Kate who is not Kate, Circe played them; just then Alice pops in and says she knows, Safiyah told her, but she is not going to be a problem. All of a sudden they hear a crash outside and go to see what is going on. Sophie and Ryan are on the scene and try to help out, there are black skull masked men attacking an SUV, they do what they can to help out.
Ryan brings Alice two black skull masks, she tells her that they infiltrate black masks hideout and they pull Kate out together. Ryan tells Alice to take the mask, she needs her, Alice says she knows.
Luke is in the bat cave, he finds drawings of batman and the suit. He has a flashlight and is still looking around when he finds a suit that is not batman but looks similar and when he puts his hand on the chest, it lights up.
Mary is working on a man who was brought in with snakebite in his arm, she is surprised because there is not supposed to be any left in Gotham. Alice is with Ryan and tells her she is sorry, Ryan tells her that she doesn’t deserve her forgiveness. Alice tells her that she is desperate to find Kate because the city is falling apart. Ryan tells her that they are going to find Kate then she is going to do everything to see that she is behind bars.
Mary calls Luke, she tells him that she has a crazy idea. Meanwhile, in the clinic, the man who had the snake bite is freaking out and turning things over to find the snake bite. Mary tells Luke that she wants to use the snake bite vapors to bring Kate’s memory back.
Gotham is being destroyed, black skull masks are everywhere destroying the city. Kate and Ryan arrive at where they think Kate may be held. She is there, dressed in black and Roman as well – a fight ensues.
Mary is on the run with the snake bite, she gets thrown off the room by the patient who was injected with it, and just before she hits the ground, Luke, in the batman like a suit that he found, arrives just in time and saves her before she hits the ground.
Mary manages to get the snake bite to Ryan and tells her to be careful with it. Ryan says she doesn’t know if she can do this without the suit. Mary tells her that she doesn’t need the suit to be batwoman, she is already in her. Alice is still fighting Roman, he tells her that she failed as a villain because you can’t be bad and have feelings. Alice tells him a great villain was the Joker, she sprays a flower of poison in his face and he falls to the ground.
Ryan is after Kate who is on a motorcycle, Ryan manages to lasso her and they stop on a bridge. Both start fighting, Kate calls Ryan her name and Ryan says to call her batwoman. Another car pulls up, it is Alice and she helps to spray the snake bite fumes in Kate’s face but in a struggle, Kate and Alice go over the bridge. Underwater, Alice is thinking back to the subway car when she was there with Ocean, he tells her that he was planning a new life for them so they could get away from everything.
She says Safiyah was right, she was always going to have to choose one of them. She tells him that she doesn’t want to say goodbye to him. She grabs him and kisses him, hugs him while she cries. Then we see Alice and Kate underwater. Kate is thinking back to when she was outside the room where Beth was being held and she called out her name, then she opens the door and sees her sister, she hugs her.
Alice goes to the surface and brings Kate with her. They are on the beach, Alice gives Kate mouth to mouth to try to save her. Ryan is there, she walks Alice through it and tells her that she has this. All of a sudden Kate starts choking up water, she is alive, she looks at Alice and calls her Beth. Police arrive and pull Alice away.
Ryan shows up to her parole hearing, she tells the panel that she hasn’t changed, she is still a good, caring, and intelligent human being she was the day she was arrested, the day she met her cellmate, the day she was told she could be a repeat offender. Ryan is released from parole and wished the best of luck.
Kate, Luke, and Mary are sitting down and enjoying a beer together. Kate asks Luke where he found the silver suit. He says his dad secretly created the suit. Mary asks Kate how Alice fits in with her plans. Kate says Alice brought Kate out of her, she is her twin, but until she wants to be Beth, she can’t help her. Ryan walks in, Kate asks if she can speak to her alone. Ryan thanks her, she says the suit changed her life in more ways than one and it was an honor to wear it. Kate says she put the suit on to help the city, she put it on to survive.
Kate goes to see Sophie and tells her that she is going to leave Gotham, first to see her dad and then Bruce, he is alive somewhere. Kate says maybe in another universe they were meant to be together. Sophie gets up close and kisses Kate.
Ryan is officially going to remain as Batwoman with the help of Luke in his silver suit.
Ryan goes to see Alice in lockup, she tells her that her neighbor is crazier than her. Ryan tells her that this is justice for her mom, she hopes they never see each other again. Alice tells her that her mother didn’t die in childbirth, she is still very much alive.
The episode ends with a top hat and umbrella (symbolizing the Penguin) in the water, then we see a jar and some vines crawling out (symbolizing Poison Ivy)
