In tonight’s Bull episode, a woman named Clara tries to pick up a client, a tennis star named Dasha who isn’t answering her hotel door. Clara finds Dasha dead and is then charged with her murder. Clara’s pastor talks Chunk into taking the case. He tells Bull who isn’t happy but decides to take the case.
Chunk and Bull meet with Clara. She tells them she was forced to get Dasha cocaine. Her boss, Lance, was going to fire her if she didn’t. So she did it. She didn’t know it had fentanyl in it. She is an agent now after being an athlete herself. She got inured and thought this was her second chance.
Bull gets Clara’s case on the docket. The team gets together with Chunk giving them all jobs to track different witnesses down. They need to show how bad Lance is. That night, Bull has to deal with getting a Christmas tree and burnt cookies.
At court the next day, Chunk comes face to face with his nemesis. They went to school together. Now he is the D.A. They begin jury selection. The D.A. tries to barter with them. Bull gives him some wiggle room, but puts his foot down on a few jurors.
Danny works to find Lance’s old assistant. After she finds her, she tries to get her to talk. The woman mentions a rehab she should look into. Later, Lance takes the stand. Chunk brings up the rehab and how Dasha was there and was pulled out early for a commercial which made him alot of money.
The judge asks the D.A. and Chunk if they can reconvene after Christmas. Chunk pushes to be finished the next day. Chunk stresses. He meets with Danny, who is supposed to go to Aruba. She changes her flight to help.
Bull comes home to see he ordered a ten inch tree not a ten foot tree. He promises to fix it. The next morning, the head to court. Its the last day for trial. The DA introduces video of Clara snorting cocaine. Bull takes a break to call around for trees when he he sees the blizzard outside. They aren’t going anywhere.
Clara shares on the stand she did try cocaine to cut loose. She had a strict upbringing. She also had to work at a young age after her mom died. The DA counters that she should still know better.
Danny arrives at Rikers to talk with the drug dealer who sold Clara the cocaine through Lance. The dealer swears there was no fentanyl in his drugs. Danny calls to tell Bull who is in the court hallway. He sees another tennis player who is begging the DA to leave. She is anxious. He has a thought. That tennis player was also in the room with Dasha when she died. She had a prescription for fentanyl. Meanwhile, Chunk is speaking with the DA about a possible plea. The DA also talks about the two of them getting a drink when this is over.
Chunk calls the tennis player to the stand and brings up her fentanyl prescription. She also looks like she is withdrawing as she is so anxious and shaky. The jury rules that Clara is guilty of possession but not manslaughter.
Marissa skips a date to spend Christmas Eve with Taylor. Bull finally gets a tree. Chunk goes for a drink with the DA.
