Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will have to pick a side after Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) accuses Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) of purposely shoving her down the DiMera mansion staircase.
Once Gwen awakens in the hospital, she’ll deceive Chad about Abigail pushing her and killing her baby as a result.
None of that will be true, but that won’t stop Chad from backing Gwen up on this. Chad will give Abigail a chance to tell her side of the story, but he’ll ultimately choose to believe Gwen. Naturally, this makes us wonder what the heck Chad is thinking!
Why is Chad so keen on siding with Gwen – a known liar who has repeatedly deceived him and schemed against Abigail from day one?
It’s a shame that Days of Our Lives writers are destroying Chad and Abigail like this. Abigail is Chad’s wife and deserves some respect after everything she’s put up with.
Chad shouldn’t be backing up the woman who got knocked up because she tricked him into sleeping with her – the same woman who gave Abigail a hallucinogen that took her away from her family for months. No one should believe Gwen in this Days scenario, let alone Abigail’s husband!
Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) along with John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) have been portrayed as duos with deep connections – almost on a psychic level where they can “feel” each other.
Meanwhile, Chad can’t even take Abigail’s word over the obviously bogus story conniving Gwen tries to sell. It’s just sad considering the intense bond Abigail and Chad had once upon a time. What was once a supercouple in the making has been trashed for the sake of the plot.
Unfortunately, Chad may have even further to fall. Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad will comfort Gwen over the loss of their unborn child. Since Chad will believe Gwen over Abigail, this seems likely to set up a “Chabby” split and could give Gwen a chance to make her move.
Based on how Chad’s been written throughout this Gwen saga, he could legitimately fall for Gwen and make matters worse. Will Gwen steal Abigail’s husband? That’s a very real possibility, but Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad’s in for a rude awakening down the road.
Chad will inevitably find out Gwen’s miscarriage wasn’t result of the fall and that she wasn’t pushed either. There’s still hope for Chad to undo the damage with Abigail eventually, but he’ll have to learn to put his wife first and stop letting sneaky DOOL interlopers get in the way.
For now, Chad and Gwen will grieve their child together as Abigail stands alone. We’ll offer updates as other Days news emerges.
