Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chanel Dupree (Precious Way) may sabotage Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Allie Horton’s (Lindsay Arnold) blooming love. Will Chanel break her promise and scheme to tear this soon-to-be new couple apart? It’s clear that there’s still some lingering tension between Tripp and Chanel, who no doubt thinks Allie could do better.
After Chanel opened up to Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) about the kiss and the awkwardness that followed, she worried about her friendship. Lani pointed out that Chanel didn’t give up easily and felt like Chanel was perhaps still hoping something would happen romantically.
Although Chanel denied it, Lani’s hunch may have been right. During their latest encounter, Chanel assured Tripp that friendship was indeed all she was looking for.
Chanel insisted Tripp didn’t have to worry about her getting in the way of his relationship with Allie. Famous last words!
There’s certainly a chance Chanel will become a problem after all. It’s kind of like when a Days character says nothing will get in the way of their wedding – and then the wedding inevitably turns into a total DOOL disaster.
Soaps often have a character say one thing only to have the exact opposite happen.
That could mean Chanel will break her promise and sabotage Tripp’s romance with Allie instead. Maybe Tripp really should be worried about Chanel and the threat she poses.
Tripp and Allie are going to need more obstacles as they build their relationship, so Chanel might as well be one. She might even become a bit obsessed with Allie and go off the rails.
Allie isn’t interested in being a Days couple with Chanel, but Chanel might hope she can change her mind. If not, Chanel could at least decide she needs to get Tripp out of the picture and leave his spot open for someone worthy of her friend.
Chanel previously called Tripp a cheapskate and disapproved of Allie’s interest in him due to their initial run-in. Now Chanel keeps inadvertently interrupting Allie and Tripp’s warm moments. If that keeps up and becomes intentional, Tripp may lash out and set the stage for more drama.
Allie is pretty protective of Chanel, so she’s not going to like it if Tripp judges her pal too harshly. There’s the potential for Chanel to manipulate the situation and make herself look like the victim.
Chanel may find other intriguing ways to target Tripp and Allie’s relationship, too. All’s fair in love and war!
Of course, Chanel’s plan may crash and burn in the end if this is the route she takes. Regardless, Chanel and Allie’s friendship does seem poised to complicate Allie’s romance with Tripp. We’ll bring you updates as other Days news rolls in.
