Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that we’ve got a Thanksgiving preview for you – and it involves Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) being a turkey dinner crasher while Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) have a sweet celebration.
We should note that Days will be preempted on the actual Thanksgiving holiday. There won’t be a new DOOL episode on Thursday, November 25, so keep that in mind as you plan your own holiday festivities.
However, Salem will indeed celebrate Thanksgiving, so we’ll still see some turkey day drama during the week of November 22-26.
Now that we’ve covered the schedule, we should also discuss which characters and storylines will take center stage.
Of course, the possession story will remain the biggest one on the NBC soap.
The devil inside Marlena couldn’t pass up the chance to stir up some trouble on such a special occasion.
Once Thanksgiving dinner gets underway at the Horton house, possessed Marlena will show up to derail it.
Marlena will crash the party and no doubt get into another argument with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) over Doug Williams (Bill Hayes). Days viewers can’t forget that Doug’s been trapped at Bayview all this time.
Poor Doug is isolated without visitors, so Julie will try to take matters into her own hands as November sweeps winds down.
If Julie manages to get Doug out or perhaps tries to take Thanksgiving dinner to him instead, Marlena will certainly have something to say about that!
Possessed Marlena doesn’t want Doug blabbing about the devil’s takeover, so that should be at least part of the reason for the crashed gathering and inevitable showdown with Julie.
Marlena will also face questions about John Black (Drake Hogestyn) since he’ll obviously miss celebrating Thanksgiving with his family.
John will still be stuck in the crypt, but Marlena will act like John isn’t back from his phony mission yet.
That’ll raise more red flags for Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), so they’ll force Marlena to endure a holiday grilling session.
Finally, Ben and Ciara will put all the devil drama on hold for a while. Evil is coming for their child, but Ciara and Ben will take this opportunity to enjoy their first Thanksgiving as a married duo.
This happy couple will look forward to having a son or daughter to celebrate with them next year, but Ben and Ciara will savor some alone time for now.
