Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) have dangerous powercouple potential, so could they start a rebound romance after EJ’s divorce from Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and Ava’s split from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering)?
Both EJ and Ava are probably going to need new love interests soon. EJ’s going to be furious when he finds out Sami cheated on him with Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) multiple times and has been lying to his face about it.
We’ve already seen signs of a more sinister version of EJ rising, so the news of Sami’s betrayal could really bring out the worst in him.
Likewise, Ava could easily revert back to the worst mob version of herself once things blow up with Rafe.
DOOL fans know Ava has two things working against her since a) she’s hiding the fact that she helped Kristen escape and b) Rafe’s clearly battling feelings for Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker).
Rafe seems destined to end up with Nicole down the road, so where does that leave Ava? Days could take the obsessed route with Ava and have her make Rafe miserable, but they’ll still need a new love interest for her at some point.
There aren’t a ton of options on canvas, so it makes sense to pair Ava up with a newly single EJ after he dumps Sami.
EJ and Ava will be going through similar heartbreak as well as battling the worst parts of themselves. This would be a good opportunity to have Ava and EJ just give into their negative impulses together.
Days writers could at least let Ava and EJ have a fling – just to see where things might lead.
Regardless, both EJ and Ava seem poised for single status in the not-too-distant future, so that alone makes them worth considering as a hot new couple!
When you throw in their looming shared heartache and wicked tendencies, Ava and EJ truly seem like they’d make a good match.
