Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) will look forward to a happy reunion with the man she loves. Nicole’s been having a tough time ever since Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) left to help the villagers in the Congo.
Although Nicole gave Eric her blessing and knows he’s doing important work, she’s really been struggling since they just can’t seem to reconnect.
Eric and Nicole still talk on the phone, but it seems like there’s an issue every time they try to meet up. First, Eric’s flight home for Christmas hit a snag. The plane had some mechanical problems, so Eric got stranded in Ethiopia.
Nicole tried to fly off to see Eric instead, but all the flights were canceled. Once Nicole finally found one, she realized it was on the same night as Holly Jonas’ (Elin Alexander) dance recital and had to stay in town. It’s easy to see why Nicole’s getting awfully frustrated over all these missed connections!
However, Nicole will finally feel like things are going to work out this time. She’ll believe the stars are aligning for a perfect reunion with her husband, but something tells us Nicole’s just going to end up disappointed again.
After all, there’s been no word about Greg Vaughan reprising his role – nor has there been any Eric Brady recast news.
Days spoilers say Nicole will really be looking forward to Eric’s long-awaited return during the week of February 1-5, but it sounds like their plans will be derailed. The question is: How will DOOL writers keep Nicole and Eric apart this time?
It’s possible Eric will just get busy with some emergency with the villagers that keeps him grounded. It’s also possible Eric’s flight will run into bad weather – or he could face mechanical plane issues again once more. If Eric takes the same little problematic plane out of the Congo, there could be major trouble.
In a tearful moment earlier this month, Nicole opened up to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Nicole was starting to feel like she’d never be able to see Eric or hold him again. Rafe was quick to assure Nicole that of course she would! However, that hint obviously seems a bit ominous.
Is there a chance that Eric’s plane will go down on his way home? Could Eric be presumed dead in a plane crash? It makes zero sense for Eric to stay away from his family just so he can pitch in at some village across the globe.
Days would be better off recasting Eric or giving him a more permanent sendoff – like a presumed demise.
Of course, it’s also possible Eric will keep bailing on Nicole until she gives him an ultimatum to come home. Nicole could also cheat on Eric because she’s feeling neglected.
Nevertheless, this presumed death idea would allow Nicole to move on with Rafe without tainting her love story with Eric. It’d be the best thing for all three characters under the circumstances.
Regardless, Days of Our Lives spoilers say Nicole’s bound to get some upsetting updates. It’s just a matter of how upsetting they’ll be! Do you think Eric will bail on coming home or possibly face another hurdle that prevents it? Could Eric’s plan go down instead?
