Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Friday, April 9 Recap – Sami Delays Return to EJ – Belle Coat Button Found at Charlie Crime Scene

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, April 9, reveals that Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) pushed Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) to tell him what she was holding back.

Ava was reluctant since she’d been taught not to trust cops. She was especially hesitant to rat out her own son, but she admitted she saw Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) leaving Charlie Dale’s (Mike Manning) apartment building that night.

Ava was worried Tripp might’ve killed Charlie and hated the thought of losing Tripp again. Rafe urged Ava not to jump to conclusions and suggested they should go talk to Tripp together.

Next, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) showed up to see Tripp at Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) place. Tripp was off packing up his stuff with Steve since he was moving out of Ava’s apartment.

Kayla invited Allie to wait and have tea with her, so Allie took her up on the offer. As they talked, Allie seemed on edge over Tripp’s admission about being at Charlie’s apartment the night of his murder.

Meanwhile, Tripp came clean to Steve about showing up at Charlie’s place. Steve worried Tripp was going to admit he killed Charlie, but Tripp told a different story off screen.

Allie frantically tried to warn Tripp not to come home via text, but she was too late. When Tripp came in with Steve, Rafe and Ava were already there. That led to Tripp mistakenly assuming Ava had confessed to murdering Charlie.

There was confusion on both sides, but Ava insisted she wasn’t behind the murder. Tripp promised he didn’t kill Charlie either and explained that he simply banged on the door, which Charlie never opened.

Rafe was frustrated over all the deception in this investigation and went back to his place with Ava. He lashed out at Ava for lying, so she offered to get a motel. Rafe told Ava she didn’t have to move out, but he was still irritated.

Rafe noted that he was going to stick with hard evidence from now on since witnesses lie. In the evidence bag nearby, DOOL fans could clearly see a red button.

At the hospital on Friday’s Days of Our Lives episode, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) paid Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) a visit in her room. Jan tried to reach over to press the help button, but John grabbed her arm and stopped her.

However, John insisted he wasn’t there to hurt Jan. He was there to apologize for his strangling attempt.

Jan acknowledged that she might’ve a bit gone too far and provoked John, but she wasn’t willing to let him off the hook. If Jan went down, John was going down, too.

Afterward, John told Belle Brady (Martha Madison) that she couldn’t let Jan go free. He wasn’t interested in letting Belle make a deal for his sake, so Belle pretended she was going to call Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) to make an arrest.

Once Belle sent John and Marlena to the pub, she headed in to see Jan and said she’d drawn up the paperwork for the deal Jan wanted. Jan gloated about Belle caving, but she pointed out John wasn’t backing down.

Belle assured Jan that it didn’t matter since no one could force her to press charges against Jan.

Jan was hesitant to sign the agreement that would let John go free as well, but Belle made it clear that Jan would go to prison this time. Belle argued that Jan wouldn’t be doing art therapy in some cushy mental institution; she’d be on laundry duty in the slammer.

When Belle threatened to call Shawn, Jan finally signed the papers.

Before Belle left, Jan pointed out that Belle’s red jacket was missing a button. Belle looked taken aback and wondered when that happened. It was the same red button visible in the Charlie murder investigation evidence bag.

At the townhouse on Friday’s Days episode, Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) showed up to see Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and congratulated her on her release.

Sami worried about everything Allie had been through, but Lucas insisted Allie was tough like her mom.

After Sami pulled out a bag of potato chips, she admitted she stashed it in her room so she could avoid running into “Susan Banks” aka Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).

Lucas thought they could get some real food at the pub, but Sami didn’t want to see or talk to anybody – nobody except Lucas.

When Lucas assumed Sami would return to EJ DiMera in Italy soon, Sami admitted she’d probably stick around for a while. She wasn’t sure there was anything to back to.

Now that it was just Sami and EJ back home, things had gotten tough. Sami talked about how she hated to ever give up on anything. She always sees things through, but it had just been so hard with EJ’s recovery.

EJ was still in a lot of pain, though he tried to hide it. Sometimes EJ still needs help and that makes him angry. Sami confessed that EJ was mad at the world all the time. Although Sami knew EJ wasn’t mad at her, it was tough not to take it personally.

Sami was afraid too much had happened to EJ – that maybe he’d never be himself ever again. She talked about how EJ didn’t look at her with love or touch her anymore.

Sami felt that maybe she’d just have to accept that she’d never be loved, but Lucas thought that was ridiculous. He felt Sami was a wonderful woman and that EJ was lucky to have her.

After Lucas leaned in and kissed Sami passionately, he pulled back and asked what they were doing. Sami didn’t know, but she went in for another kiss as things started to heat up.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Sami and Lucas will run into some trouble following a hot night together, so stay tuned. CDL will have all the hottest Days of Our Lives spoilers, news and updates, so stop by often for more DOOL info.
