Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Friday, December 17, tease that Philip Kiriakis’ (Jay Kenneth Johnson) confession will rock Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) while Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) wakes up from her coma. It looks like Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) will attack Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) as well, so there’ll be some heated showdowns and major shockers happening across Salem.
For starters, Days spoilers say Kate will try to wrap her head around the bombshell that was waiting on her bed. She just gasped in shock at the sight of Philip sitting there, so she’ll wonder how this is even possible.
Philip will admit he was never in any danger and that he schemed to make sure Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) paid the price along with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). There’ll be some flashbacks as Philip tells the whole ugly story.
On some level, Kate will understand Philip’s frustration since she’s not a fan of Chloe and Brady either. Even so, Kate may think Philip has gone way too far in his pursuit of vengeance.
Philip could get in serious trouble over this frame job, but he won’t seem all that concerned about it. He’ll count on Kate to keep his secret while he plots his next move, especially since she’s carried out vengeful plans that are even worse.
Kate will agree to conceal Philip’s secret, but that’ll prove tricky with Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) breathing down her neck. Roman will continue to worry about Kate, so she’ll have to convince him that she’s still a mom in mourning – at least until Philip can find a way out of his latest mess.
In the meantime, Chloe will decide to throw her full support behind Brady. When they were down by the riverbank, Brady remembered groggily calling out Philip’s name and demanding that Philip get his hands off him. He was just starting to realize Philip was the real attacker when Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) placed him under arrest.
At the Salem PD, Brady will sit in the interrogation room and struggle to remember the details of that night. Chloe will try to put any doubts behind her and focus on clearing Brady’s name, but Philip has thought of just about everything. He’s working to take Brady down for a crime he didn’t commit and has provided a mountain of bogus evidence.
While Brady gets thrown in a jail cell, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will hope to drag Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) away from Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder). They just ran into Rex in the town square, but Gwen won’t want Rex to spill anything about Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey).
Gwen will remind Xander they have a flight to catch, but he’ll think they can spare a minute to ask about Sarah and how she’s doing. However, Rex won’t have any Sarah info since they didn’t end up leaving Salem together after all.
Xander will have a hard time grasping that, but Rex will make it crystal clear that Sarah isn’t his girlfriend and hasn’t been living with him. As Rex saunters off, Xander will call out to him and demand to know where Sarah is.
Since Rex doesn’t know anything more, Xander will be tempted to investigate. Gwen may urge Xander to just let Sarah live her life in peace, but he’ll no doubt get stuck on this puzzling situation and the fact that no one’s heard Sarah’s voice in forever.
Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) fake Sarah texts aren’t going to throw everyone off the trail for much longer, so Gwen will grow increasingly concerned about an island discovery. As for possessed Marlena, she’ll make some twisted moves as she plots against Belle Brady (Martha Madison) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer).
Comatose Jan moved a finger the last time DOOL fans saw her, but Days spoilers say Marlena will officially awaken Jan for an alliance. Kayla will be found unconscious by the time Monday rolls around, so she may get in vicious Marlena’s way and have to be dealt with on Friday’s episode.
