Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, March 12, reveals that Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) freaked over Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) and the partial Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) disguise she’d discarded. Sarah saw the wig and glasses, so she put it together that Kristen was impersonating Susan.
After Kristen explained that Sarah was happy to help and was safe at Statesville, she explained how Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) was after Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Sarah didn’t think so, but Kristen was adamant since Chloe admitted her true feelings to “Susan.”
Even so, Sarah wasn’t willing to keep Kristen’s secret for her. That led Kristen to suggest that Sarah owes her.
Sarah kidnapped Rachel Black (Rosalind and Josephine May) after the baby swap truth came out, which led to Kristen going off the rails and stabbing Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). Now Kristen’s losing valuable time with her daughter.
Furthermore, Kristen noted that Sarah forgave Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) and gave him a pass for all his bad behavior.
Sarah argued that Xander had changed and stood her ground when it came to spilling Kristen’s secret. She got her phone out to call Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
At the pub, Xander loudly interrupted Chloe Lane’s (Nadia Bjorlin) attempt to tell Brady her true feelings. After Xander yelled about his “big fat Greek wedding,” he walked over with Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) and suggested he could buy a round of shots for everyone.
Brady declined since he doesn’t drink anymore, especially not with Xander.
Once Chloe and Brady left them to have their two-man bachelor party, Xander shared some scotch with Jack and pushed his best man to make a toast. Jack ended up giving a heartfelt one about love being life’s greatest adventure.
Moments later, Rex Brady (Kyler Lowder) entered and found out Xander was getting married.
When Rex wondered what pathetic woman would want Xander for a husband, Xander quipped that it was Rex’s ex-wife. Rex clearly wasn’t happy about Xander marrying Sarah, so they had a war of words about Xander’s baby-switching and Rex’s cheating.
Xander gloated about Rex doing him a favor since Rex’s betrayal led to Xander’s own romance with Sarah. However, Rex warned that Xander hadn’t closed the deal yet.
Once outside the pub, Xander seemed nervous about his impending wedding and called Sarah to remind her of his love. Xander left a voicemail that said he couldn’t wait to become husband and wife.
At the townhouse, Brady treated Chloe to a giant sandwich and tried to get her to continue their conversation from earlier. Chloe chickened out on admitting her feelings before Sarah called.
Brady was puzzled when no one was on the other line, but he figured Sarah would call back if it was important.
Back at Basic Black on Friday’s Days of Our Lives episode, Sarah was unconscious on the floor after getting clobbered by Kristen. Kristen was sorry it came to this as she held what appeared to be a paperweight.
At Evan Frears aka Christian Maddox’s (Brock Kelly) hideout, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) was horrified by the aftermath of an explosion.
Ben accused Evan, who denied any involvement – but Evan was obviously thrilled about this development.
After Ben knocked Evan out, he tossed the gun on the floor. Ben began searching through the rubble for Ciara and finally found her under the mattress.
Although Ciara didn’t have a pulse, Ben did CPR and eventually felt Ciara breathe. Ben was overcome with emotion as he pulled Ciara close – but then Evan appeared after coming to and grabbing the gun Ben left behind.
Evan threatened to kill Ben and Ciara in Friday’s Days episode, but Ben insisted that wasn’t happening. He argued that’s not how this love story was going to end.
Ben made it clear that they’d been through too much to go out like this and didn’t seem concerned about Evan’s threat. Evan suggested they could rot together and pushed Ben to say hi to Jordan Ridgeway (Chrishell Stause) for him.
Before Evan could fire the first shot, a beam fell and knocked him out. DOOL fans could see that fate was once again on Ben and Ciara’s side!
At the hospital, Belle Brady (Martha Madison) and Claire Brady (Isabel Durant) convinced injured Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) that he had to stay put, not go off trying to help Ben with a shot leg on meds.
Later, the elevator doors opened as Ben carried Ciara in his arms. Claire gaped at the sight of them both. As other Days news comes in, we’ll pass along updates.
