Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Friday, May 28 Recap – Rafe’s Interrogation of Ava Leads to Passion – Xander Threatens Gwen

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, May 28, reveals that Rafe Hernandez’s (Galen Gering) interrogation of Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) led to some passion between them. Meanwhile, Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) warned Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) not to hurt Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).

At the Horton house on Friday’s Days episode, Gwen served Jack some bangers and mash for breakfast. Jack was surprised after he tasted it and discovered it was really good.

Gwen admitted she’d become skilled at making it since it was her mom’s hangover cure growing up – though sometimes it was just mash since they didn’t always have money for sausages.

Jack didn’t know what to say, but Gwen insisted he didn’t have to keep apologizing for the way she grew up. They agreed they were glad to have this time together now before Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry) showed up and barged through the door.

Dr. Snyder demanded to know if Gwen had done what he told her to do, but Jack appeared and didn’t like the doc’s tone. Jack thought this house call was weird, but Dr. Snyder acted like he took his work very seriously and just wanted to make sure Gwen took her medication.

After Jack wandered off, Gwen tried to give Dr. Snyder back his envelope and refused to help him get people hooked on drugs.

Dr. Snyder argued that the delivery was already late, so he pushed her to make sure it got where it needed to be this morning – or else Daddy would find out what kind person Gwen really was.

At the townhouse, Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) talked to Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) about Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow) as well as Sami’s time in the DiMera cellar.

Allie thought Sami and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) “must’ve really gone at it” in that tiny room, so Sami had a flashback of getting steamy with Lucas before replying that they “sure did.”

Allie surprised Sami by revealing that Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) extended his stay in the Congo by another three months.

Sami found out that Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) got the news about three days ago, so Sami thought back on Nicole and Xander entering the Salem Inn together.

As Sami subtly grilled her, Allie said Nicole stayed in a hotel room alone getting plastered – and that she left her wedding ring behind in that hotel room.

Sami told Allie that she’d take Henry Horton (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) back home while Allie visited Kate at the hospital. Once Allie was out the door, Sami muttered to herself about what a “lying slut” Nicole was.

At Nicole’s apartment, Xander arrived and made himself at home on the sofa. He announced he was moving in and wanted Nicole to make him something for breakfast, but Nicole said Xander could starve for all she cared.

Nicole refused to let Xander stay there, so he relented on that part – but he made it clear she’d better get Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) on board with the Basic Black job.

After Xander left on Friday’s Days episode, Sami showed up and mentioned that Allie had offered updates on Eric’s trip extension. Sami pretended to be on Nicole’s side, but Nicole felt like Sami should cut the crap and stop pretending they were having girl talk.

Sami admitted there was no need to catch up since she’d already caught Nicole and knew exactly what she did. Since Nicole left Xander out of the story she told Allie, Sami wondered if Nicole had something to hide.

Nicole acted like Xander just walked her in, but Sami insisted that Nicole slept with the creep that Eric despises.

Xander wound up at the Horton house just as Gwen was about to leave. He found out Gwen was the long-lost daughter he’d heard about and felt Jack would do right by her since Jack was a “good egg.”

Xander warned that if Gwen hurt Jack again, she’d have to answer to him. As Jack appeared on the stairs, he heard Gwen acknowledge her mistakes and vow to make her father proud of her.

Once Gwen was gone, Xander enjoyed some bangers and mash before admitting he had a favor to ask Jack. He needed somewhere to crash and insisted the Horton house couch would be just fine.

At the hospital, Kate was in a foul mood as Lucas encouraged her to eat her breakfast. Lucas hoped Kate’s blindness would be temporary, but she didn’t seem optimistic.

Meanwhile, Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) got some bad news from Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash), who confessed that the last thing Kate remembered was getting ready for their trip together.

Since Kate didn’t remember walking in on them in bed together either, Gabi realized that meant Kate thought she was still a couple with Jake. She wondered if Jake would tell Kate the truth, but he seemed reluctant to do it.

Back in Kate’s hospital room, Dr. Snyder examined her and insisted her sight seemed perfectly normal. He guessed it could be hysterical blindness, but he didn’t think that lined up with Kate’s type of trauma.

Kate responded by ranting about everything she’d been through – including staggering home to find her lover with “that bitch Gabi.”

At home, Rafe brought Ava coffee in her bedroom and quizzed her about finding Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) passed out cold. Rafe didn’t seem to buy it since over 20 minutes were unaccounted for according to the visitor’s log.

Ava joked about needing a lawyer, but she eventually turned serious and wondered about the reason for this interrogation. “Are you accusing me of helping Kristen escape?” Ava asked on Friday’s DOOL episode.

Ava lied that would’ve told Rafe right away if she’d known Kristen was going to flee.

Ava promised that she was focusing on the change she’d made in her life, so Rafe apologized if he was too hard on her. He assured Ava that she believed her – and then they stripped down as a make-out session escalated to lovemaking.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ava’s deception should come back to haunt her down the road, so stay tuned to DOOL. CDL’s where you want to be for hot Days of Our Lives spoilers, updates and news, so stop by again soon.
