Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Friday, October 1, teases that John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will make a devil tape discovery while Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) cooks up a surprise song. Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) will also make some baby progress, so here’s what Days has coming up.
At the DiMera mansion, Johnny will try to convince Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) that she’s ideal for the part of a young Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall).
Johnny really wants his lead actress to have a link to Salem and the people who were originally involved in this story.
Abigail can relate to a possession victim in some ways since she suffered some dissociative identity disorder, which caused her to lose control of her own mind and body.
Johnny also happens to be quite passionate and persuasive, so he’ll hope he’s on the verge of winning Abigail over.
When Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) walks in, he’ll realize Johnny’s trying to rope Abigail into acting.
Chad will laugh it off at first, but Abigail will be tempted to participate. Johnny will leave the script behind so that Abigail can put some serious thought into this, but Chad won’t get why Abigail would be so intrigued.
However, Abigail has probably been rather bored in Boston and can bring that unique DID perspective we mentioned. She may not want to rain on Johnny’s parade either since he’s so fired up.
Abigail won’t make a decision just yet, but she’ll definitely mull it over and hope she can figure out the right call.
In the town square, it looks like Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) will basically tell Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) to get a room.
Tripp and Allie will get caught up in their latest make-out session, so Chanel may not be able to resist teasing them a bit.
Allie still isn’t sure how she truly feels about Tripp, but she’ll be grateful for Chanel’s sympathetic ear and will share a sweet moment with her. Chanel will cross paths with Johnny next – and that encounter will involve a surprise that Johnny’s cooked up.
Johnny will strum his guitar and sing a song he most likely wrote for Chanel, so she should consider herself thoroughly wooed!
In Marlena’s office, she’ll finish listening to the devil’s tape recorder reminder. It looks like that’ll trigger Marlena’s sinister mode again, so Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) had better beware!
Doug has already been trying to warn John about Marlena’s efforts to kill him. On Friday’s DOOL episode, Doug will fight even harder to make John understand.
After Doug insists Marlena wants him dead, John will let him rest and head to Marlena’s office. There’ll apparently be no sign of Marlena, but John will find the tape recorder – which should still have Doug’s recording inside.
Unfortunately, the devil can be awfully tricky and might mess with the tape so that John doesn’t fully grasp what’s happened.
John will keep working to put all the possession puzzle pieces together, so at least he’ll be on the right track.
Next on Friday’s Days episode, Ben will remain on edge over the thought of having a baby with Ciara. Although Ben wants to make Ciara happy, he’s terrified he’ll bring evil into the world through his dangerous genes.
Ben will meet up with Tripp and confide his point of view, so Tripp can put his medical knowledge to good use.
Ciara admitted mental illness could be passed down – and Tripp should back that up since he knows it’s true, too.
Of course, Tripp also knows Ciara’s right about babies being raised in a loving, supportive household.
That can often mean more than DNA, so Tripp may reassure Ben that he can still be a great dad. Ben just has to take his time and work through his concerns with Ciara’s support.
Ciara will get some support of her own when she shares her troubles with Allie. After a chat about the honeymoon, Ciara will turn serious and talk to Allie about her desire to be a mom.
Allie will probably squeal with delight at the thought of Ciara getting pregnant, but Ciara will worry it’s not going to happen due to Ben’s fears.
Nevertheless, Allie is a positive person and will feel confident they can work all this out. She might also talk about Henry Horton’s (Jayna and Kinsley Fox) horrible father.
Charlie Dale (Mike Manning) was a lying rapist who caused plenty of trauma for Allie, but she only sees the little boy she loves when she looks at Henry.
Allie won’t think Henry’s going to grow up to be a monster just because his biological dad was. Ciara will no doubt agree and hope she can make Ben see things her way. We’ll pass along updates as other Days news rolls in.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Ben will indeed come around on the baby idea down the road, but he’ll have more issues to tackle first.
