Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, October 15, reveals that Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) got a job – and the devil found a new communication method. Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) also decided to move out, so here’s how all the DOOL action went down.
Outside the pub on Friday’s Days episode, EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) came along to find Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) almost kissing.
EJ asked if he was interrupting something and wondered how Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) would feel about what he just saw.
Rafe thought EJ was inserting himself in a situation that was none of his business, but EJ ranted about Rafe mooning over Nicole in public.
EJ felt like Rafe was playing silly games with both Nicole and Ava, but Rafe said that was enough.
EJ assumed Rafe wanted to hit him, so Rafe fired back that EJ had no idea how much.
After EJ suggested someone was filming nearby, he added it’d be great when the video of the commissioner assaulting a citizen went viral.
Nicole got between EJ and Rafe before she pushed Rafe to leave.
Once Rafe stomped off, Nicole ranted at EJ since he could’ve handled that better. Even so, Nicole said EJ stopped her from doing something she might’ve regretted.
EJ wanted to help Nicole move on and suggested she should kiss him instead of Rafe. He dove for Nicole’s lips as they started making out.
At Basic Black, Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) barged in and punched Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) for having his arms around Chloe for the umpteenth time. He thought Brady was lucky that one punch was all he got!
Brady warned Philip to get out before he had security throw him out, so Philip said he’d talk to Chloe about this later.
Once Chloe was alone with Brady, she thought he was right all along – that maybe Philip didn’t know how to change. Chloe felt like she had to do something now before somebody really got hurt.
In the town square, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) urged Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) to sign her contract for the movie and admitted he got the rest of the funding from EJ.
Allie found out about EJ demanding the role of John Black (Drake Hogestyn) to stick it to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn).
Since John was so against the film, Allie insisted she’d only agree to be in the movie if Johnny got direct permission from Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Johnny felt certain that he could get Marlena on board and sauntered off to make it happen.
At the townhouse, Marlena jolted up as she remembered the levitation in a dream.
Marlena eventually confided in John about that dream and how it seemed so real when she was levitating. Marlena got emotional over hearing the devil’s voice so clearly.
After Marlena remembered the Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) baby drama, she insisted she had to shower and go see Ben right now.
Meanwhile, Ben remained unsettled over the wind blowing in the night before. Ciara reminded Ben it was just a random gust and revealed it was time for her to get a job.
Later, Ciara stopped by the Sweet Bits table to get something to butter up Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston). She wanted to get her old job back so she could be in a good financial situation when they had a baby.
Allie was excited to hear that Ciara threw her birth control out and got right down to trying for a child with Ben.
Ciara explained that Ben had a session with Marlena, who really helped with his doubts.
That impressed Allie, who praised Marlena for coming to the rescue and wondered what her grandma said in that session.
Next on Friday’s Days episode, Marlena surprised Ben when she dropped by to check on him.
Ben revealed that he made the decision with Ciara to have a child. Marlena learned they’d already taken the big step of throwing away Ciara’s birth control.
After Ben mentioned the wind gust and how he worried it might’ve been an omen, Marlena muttered that maybe it was.
Marlena checked her phone and received a message from the devil, who spoke to her as a talking emoji character on the screen.
The devil insisted that his plans for Ben’s baby should stay between the two of them and pushed Marlena to relieve Ben’s doubts again.
Marlena told Ben that she meant it was a good omen and thought the baby would be good for everybody. Ben was happy to hear that and thanked Marlena for all her help.
Back with Ciara, she noticed Philip seemed off when she entered the Kiriakis mansion. Philip didn’t want to talk about it and sent Ciara into the living room for a chat with Victor.
Soon after, Chloe showed up and refused to accept Philip’s apology. She couldn’t do this anymore, so Philip asked if Chloe was breaking up with him.
Chloe argued that she didn’t say that, but she did think they needed to take a step back.
Chloe had to figure out what she wanted and revealed that she was moving out. When Chloe went to pack her things, Philip snarled over Brady.
Back with Rafe, he ran into Allie in the town square and told her about his run-in with EJ. Talk turned to Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) being out of touch lately, but Allie thought maybe it was for the best.
Allie didn’t know how her mom would feel about her playing Sami in Johnny’s movie.
When Ciara arrived home, she had good news. Ciara told Ben that he was looking at the new junior executive at Titan. She also found out about Marlena stopping by earlier and putting Ben’s mind at ease about the wind gust.
Ben assured Ciara that he wanted to have a baby just as much as she did, but he still seemed a bit nervous.
At the townhouse, Johnny arrived and learned Marlena was out. John told Johnny about Marlena’s nightmare and how this movie was stirring up bad memories.
John argued that Marlena would never give permission and urged Johnny to drop the idea if he really loved his grandmother.
Outside the door, Marlena got another talking emoji character message from the devil on her phone.
The devil told Marlena that she was on the verge of being fully his again. They were almost one according to the devil.
Once Marlena went inside, she learned Johnny was thinking he should just scrap the whole possession movie plan.
Marlena surprised both John and Johnny by insisting the film was a good idea. She assured Johnny that she wanted him to make the movie, so John looked stunned.
