Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Friday, September 10, reveals that Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) offered a hooker story to Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) – and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) surprised Abigail DiMera as Marci Miller returned to the NBC soap. Here’s how it all played out on Friday’s Days episode.
At the DiMera mansion, EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) angrily warned Xander over the phone to pay him or else.
When Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) overheard, he scoffed over that being how EJ did business and whined about $1 million being pocket change for a guy like him.
Johnny didn’t see why EJ wouldn’t invest in his movie, but EJ suggested his son could make his own money at DiMera Enterprises and invest it however he liked.
Johnny stood his ground on finding the money from another relative, so he told EJ to take his job and shove it!
Chad caught the end of EJ and Johnny’s fight, so he made a sarcastic comment about the father-son bonding moment.
EJ grumbled about Chad encouraging Johnny to follow his passion, but Chad felt like Johnny deserved the chance to explore.
When EJ insisted he wanted Johnny on the proper path, Chad thought EJ meant a leash! EJ argued that at least his son was living under the same roof – unlike Chad’s wife.
Chad insisted that Abigail was helping Jennifer Horton Deveraux (Melissa Reeves) in Boston, but EJ hinted that Abigail should’ve been back months ago.
EJ felt like Chad was just standing around hoping Abigail would come back when he should really be going to get her.
Chad noted that he didn’t see EJ’s wife anywhere, but EJ replied that he threw Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) out.
When EJ claimed he didn’t know where Sami was, Chad found that hard to believe. EJ brought the conversation back to Abigail and wondered what Chad’s plan was.
Later, Chad showed up in Boston and called out to Abigail. “I’m right here,” Abigail said as she appeared in Friday’s Days episode – marking Marci Miller’s return following her maternity leave.
In Xander’s hotel suite, he told Gwen that the cash had been seized as evidence. Xander stalled EJ until after Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) was arraigned, so that gave Xander and Gwen a chance to laugh over Julie Williams’ (Susan Seaforth Hayes) freezer ordeal.
Gwen and Xander also landed in bed together, which led to a conversation about what Gwen would tell Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford). Xander thought two liars were better than one and helped Gwen come up with a believable story.
Xander thought Gwen should tell Jack that she used to be a hooker and that Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry) was an old client who recognized her at the hospital.
Xander suggested Gwen could say Dr. Snyder was going to expose Gwen’s past unless she agreed to be his drug mule, but Gwen shut down the idea.
Gwen decided to tell Jack the truth about her miscarriage instead, so Xander was at least hopeful about nothing standing in the way of them seeing each other.
At the Horton house, Jack called Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) and was happy to hear that she could squeeze in an exam for Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) today.
However, Julie wouldn’t hear of it and argued that Doug didn’t have dementia. Doug agreed and blamed his recent issues on not sleeping well.
Julie and Doug eventually headed off to the Sweet Bits Bakery grand opening, so Jack was disappointed about not getting through to them.
Afterward, Gwen showed up and felt it was time for Jack to know the truth about what Dr. Snyder was holding over her.
As for Xander, he got dressed just before EJ arrived. EJ barged in Xander’s room ranting about how Bonnie was arraigned over an hour ago. He demanded his money, but Xander argued that he was just about to go get it.
EJ was tired of waiting and followed through on his warning to call the judge. He insisted Xander would be in handcuffs shortly and added that Xander was headed to jail!
In the town square, Tripp startled Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) when he came up behind her. Allie was jumpy over the grand opening and apologized for being too busy to talk much lately.
After Tripp gave Allie a quick pep talk about believing in herself, Chanel appeared nearby and watched the pair kiss.
Later, Johnny showed up at the hospital to see Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) about investing in his film.
Tripp cornered Johnny to talk about Allie and Chanel, so Johnny insisted it was obvious that Allie wanted Chanel for herself.
Johnny ranted about Chanel ghosting him and blamed Allie for it, so he urged Tripp to tell his sister to stay out of his business from now on.
Back in the town square on Friday’s DOOL episode, things were tense as Chanel and Allie prepped the table with samples.
Chanel finally decided they should clear the air before customers arrived, so Allie apologized.
Allie said that when she found out Chanel and Johnny almost slept together, she worried it’d be just like when Johnny slept with her friend Katie in high school. Johnny dumped Katie the next week and broke her heart.
Chanel shrugged that it happens, but Allie didn’t want it to happen to Chanel. Allie only caused a scene because she cared, so she asked if Chanel could please forgive her.
Chanel was understanding about the whole thing, but she insisted they weren’t done.
Chanel thought there was more to it and wondered if this was a situation where Allie didn’t want to be with her – but didn’t want Johnny to have her either.
Allie mentioned her conversation with Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and admitted that maybe she was jealous.
Soon after, Doug and Julie showed up with some congratulatory words about the grand opening event. After Chanel and Allie stepped away to check on the croissants, Doug raved over the doughnuts along with Julie.
It thrilled Julie to know the family recipe was available to everyone right there in the town square.
Julie also thought the doughnuts tasted exactly like Alice Horton’s (Francis Reid), which confused Doug. “I’m sorry, darling, but who the heck is Alice?” Doug asked.
