Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Friday, September 17, tease that the possession story will officially begin – and Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) will play matchmaker. EJ DiMera (Dan Feurriegel) will also face a true love snub that leaves him furious, so let’s talk about what’s in store on Friday’s DOOL episode.
First, Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will pass along more test results to Doug Williams (Bill Hayes) and Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes).
It sounds like Kayla will agree to run that MRI Julie just asked for. Although Doug seemed fine in his previous cognitive tests, Julie is concerned since Doug just grabbed Paulina Price’s (Jackée Harry) behind.
However, that MRI should show that everything’s all right and add to the mystery of Doug’s bizarre behavior.
Days spoilers say the possession storyline will officially kick off on Friday, September 17, so maybe there’ll be some moment where Doug mutters to himself about what’s really going on.
It looks like Doug’s possession is the setup for Marlena Evans’ (Deidre Hall) eventual one, so there might be some situation where devil Doug insists he has to get to Marlena.
Whatever the case, Days will find a way to let us know the possession story has begun – though Marlena won’t take on the evil spirit just yet.
In the meantime, Marlena and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) will think back on their old conference table affair, which Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) witnessed when she was much younger.
John and Marlena will fret over that being part of the movie Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) wants to make, but that’s the least of their problems!
It’s the possession reboot that’ll drive the drama in the months ahead and bring some wild scenes.
Until then, Johnny will spar with EJ about Sami’s main love interest in the film. Johnny will insist Lucas is the true love of Sami’s life, but EJ will disagree and lash out over his son’s version of the story.
Of course, Lucas will think Johnny got it exactly right! He definitely believes he’s Sami’s true love and will hope to help Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) revisit an old romance, too.
After Lucas spots a flirty interaction between Kate and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), there’ll be talk about a potential reunion.
Lucas will think Roman deserves another shot, so he’ll play Cupid somewhat and hope to get Kate on board.
As for Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller), she’ll shock Chad with a special request as they settle back in Salem. Chad should agree quickly since he’s all about making Abigail happy as they try to fix their marriage.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chad and Abigail’s reunion efforts will be rockier than they expect as this DOOL storyline moves forward.
