Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that many fans are rooting for Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) and Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) to finally get together. If you’re hoping to see sparks fly between Jake and Gabi, you won’t have to wait much longer!
Thanks to this hostage situation Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow) has gotten herself into, it’ll give Jake a reason to surrender to Gabi temptation soon enough.
After Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) puts on a Kate mask, she’ll dupe Jake and leave him stunned over a sudden breakup. Days of Our Lives spoilers say that’ll clear the path for Jake and Gabi’s passion to explode.
However, we have to wonder if Gabi and Jake can really compete with what Gabi and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) had before his untimely death. Was Gabi hotter with Stefan than his twin brother, Jake? Should Days of Our Lives bring Stefan back from the dead for a sizzling DOOL reunion?
These are good questions to consider now that Gabi and Jake’s storyline is finally moving along. Gabi certainly feels drawn to Jake, but would she really care about him at all if he didn’t look exactly like Stefan – the love of her life?
Jake’s personality honestly doesn’t mesh well with Gabi’s. It’s not like Gabi and Jake have much in common! Stefan, on the other hand, made a true powercouple with Gabi since they were both brilliant schemers who weren’t afraid of taking things to a sinister level.
It felt like Stefan was a much better match for Gabi, so that seemed to intensify the spark between them. Days of Our Lives has tried to recreate that spark with Gabi and Jake, which has worked somewhat since Camila Banus and Brandon Barash have such great onscreen chemistry in general.
Even so, rude Jake from “Philly” isn’t the same guy as smooth, sophisticated Stefan. It’s hard to buy the idea of Gabi and Jake ever being in the same powercouple league as Stefan and Gabi.
Of course, that doesn’t mean Jake and Gabi are a bad pairing! It just means that maybe Days struck gold with “Stabi” – and now they’re forcing Days fans to settle for silver.
