Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) will be furious over EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) takeover plot. Jake’s brother will return for a surprise CEO attack and will do everything in his power to get back on the DiMera throne.
Of course, Jake has found some confidence on the job thanks to all the support and guidance Kate Roberts DiMera (Lauren Koslow) has given him.
Although Jake took on the CEO role with no real experience, he feels like he’s been a fast learner and has done pretty well all things considered.
However, EJ really knows his way around the boardroom and will think his corporate knowledge is what it’ll take to truly put DiMera Enterprises back on top.
Days spoilers say EJ will spend the summer scheming to destroy Jake’s new career in hopes of rebuilding his own. It’ll be interesting to hear EJ’s view of Jake upon his return.
It seems likely EJ will think of Jake as an outsider who doesn’t deserve the job. Days spoilers suggest EJ may meet Jake and immediately get off on the wrong foot with him.
There’s the potential for conflict between these brothers right off the bat, especially once Jake realizes his role at the company is in jeopardy.
Chad DiMera (Brandon Barash) hated watching Jake take over the CEO position and would surely rather have EJ in charge, even based on experience alone. Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) should agree EJ is the better leader for the family business.
It looks like Chad and Tony will be instrumental in how EJ carries out his latest DOOL scheme.
Jake will soon be distracted by Kate’s fake blindness and pretend partial amnesia. He’ll also have to contend with Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) frustration and outbursts, so he’ll have a lot on his plate.
That could give EJ the perfect opportunity to make a major power play and catch Jake off guard.
Jake may feel like Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo) would want him in charge over Jake – and that’s probably true! Nevertheless, Jake will put up a fight and hope he can get the last laugh.
Something tells us Jake may be no match for EJ, who can be awfully ruthless when he wants to be.

Look for EJ to work on his marriage to Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) as well, but that’ll no doubt be harder to fix!
