Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) and Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will likely use EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) jail time to their advantage. Gabi and Jake may push Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) to fire the criminal CEO on Mr. Shin’s (Michael Hagiwara) behalf, so this could fit right in their DiMera takeover plan.
DOOL fans know Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) made a drastic move in the name of love. Lucas was fed up with Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) constantly choosing EJ despite his harsh treatment of her.
Lucas wound up kidnapping Sami and holding her hostage for months – only to play the hero later.
Of course, Lucas is fed up all over again since Sami still wants EJ anyway.
Sami appreciated the rescue, but that wasn’t enough to make her pick Lucas over her husband. However, EJ will land in lockup at the Salem PD soon enough.
EJ will go down for snatching Sami despite his innocence, so that should be due to Lucas’ lies and perhaps a dash of the devil’s trickery.
When Gabi and Jake get updates on EJ’s sudden legal woes, Days spoilers say they should feel like they’ve hit the jackpot!
Jake and Gabi will suddenly gain the upper hand as they walk into their meeting with Shin, which will bring the first step toward their DiMera takeover plot.
Even if EJ’s out on bail by then, he’ll still be facing charges that could put him behind bars for quite some time.
Days spoilers suggest Gabi and Jake can use this to act like DiMera Enterprises needs new leadership as well as a stable path forward.
They can argue that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) doesn’t have what it takes without cutthroat EJ as his co-CEO.
Besides, Chad faced his own crisis back when he cheated on Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien).
That led to a very public scandal about Chad sleeping with the nanny, so Jake and Gabi may act like the DiMera brothers are nothing but trouble – just a source of constant bad press!
Gabi and Jake will no doubt brush their own scandals under the rug as they work to make Shin see things their way. The goal will remain to take over DiMera and use it to strike an even bigger deal with Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston).
Nevertheless, the truth will set EJ free eventually – and you can bet he’ll fight back against Jake and Gabi’s takeover efforts!
