Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) may pull a gun on that liar Carmine and threaten to kill his old enforcer partner. Days fans know the eyewitness to Jed Zanetti’s murder wasn’t an eyewitness at all – at least not according to Jake’s side of the story.
Jake seemed sincere when he told Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) that he was sent to rough Jed up with Carmine, who took things too far and killed the guy.
Although Jake tried to stop Carmine, Jed started coughing up blood and died right in front of them. It was the worst day of Jake’s life since he was too late to save Jed from Carmine’s cruelty.
Jake wasn’t cut out for that world of violence and was glad to get his fresh start in Salem. However, he also worried he could get pulled back into the mob somehow.
Jake didn’t want to murder Jed for stiffing the Vitali clan, but he just might be tempted to murder Carmine for his damaging lies.
DOOL’s fall preview video shows Jake dressed like he’s in hitman mode. Jake points a gun on someone and looks mighty fierce, but who will he threaten to fire a shot at?
The unidentified man in that promo has facial features that look different than Philip’s, so we could see Carmine’s debut for this part of the story.
After all, Days spoilers suggest it wouldn’t really solve anything to kill Philip. Ava could still use the evidence just to spite Gabi, so Jake really needs to target the bogus eyewitness and eliminate the leverage.
Carmine is actually the guilty party, but he’s willing to testify that Jake was behind Jed’s death.
Of course, Carmine can’t testify if he’s dead himself! Jake might decide that would solve the problem since it’d keep him out of prison and allow Gabi to keep her company.
It’s just a matter of whether Jake can kill Carmine without getting caught – and whether he has the guts to pull the trigger.
Something tells us Jake may not be able to murder Carmine in cold blood, but he might threaten to anyway.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say some exciting scenes are still to come as Jake takes charge for Gabi’s sake.
