Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) will battle suspicions about Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) after he gets updates on the death of Laura Horton (Jaime Lyn Bauer). Jake knows Gwen well enough to realize when she’s hiding something – and he’ll indeed think she’s hiding something.
Despite Jack Deveraux’s (Matthew Ashford) efforts to back Gwen up on her claims that it was an accident, Jake won’t buy that he’s getting the whole story. Days spoilers say Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) could add fuel to Jack’s suspicions once she starts hurling accusations. She won’t believe Gwen’s innocent in all this either.
During the week of February 15-19, Jake will push for real answers. Since Jake has never shied away from confronting Gwen, he’ll tackle the situation head-on. Days of Our Lives spoilers state that Jake will grill Gwen about what happened, but he’ll doubt that she’s being honest.
That should lead to this grilling session getting even more intense, so Gwen may fly into a rage. Gwen will probably argue that Jake needs to butt out and worry about his own complicated family. The DiMeras have enough problems to deal with on any given day.
Of course, there’s some overlap between the Deveraux clan and DiMera fam due to Abigail’s marriage to Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), which Gwen did her best to destroy. Jake feels partly responsible for moving Gwen in the DiMera mansion and giving her the perfect opportunity to do serious damage.
If Jake had known Gwen was Abigail’s vengeful half-sister or had any inkling of how low Gwen might sink, he would’ve stopped Gwen – or at least tried to. Jake has his own issues with his former flame, so he’ll have some strong motives to make Gwen pay in the coming weeks.
It looks like Jake may launch a little investigation and try to sniff out the true story of Laura’s death. DOOL spoilers say Abigail will seek Gabi Hernandez DiMera’s (Camila Banus) help with a Gwen takedown plot.
We might see Jake join the fight with Abigail and Gabi, which could bring a chance for Gabi and Jake to bond over a common goal.
Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) hates Gwen as well, so there’s a chance she’ll become part of all this takedown plotting. Gwen might half the town after her if she’s not careful!
Regardless, Days spoilers say Jake will be particularly curious about Gwen’s true actions. Since Jake will suspect Gwen got rid of Laura permanently, he could pose a major threat to his ex’s freedom if he digs too deep.
