Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) will eventually face an infuriating family reunion. DOOL fans know Jake’s got a temper and doesn’t always make the best decisions, but he has a good heart deep down.
Jake doesn’t have much in common with his mother, Vivian Alamain (Linda Dano), who certainly has an evil side.
Vivian wasn’t interested in going to prison for plotting to murder Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers), burying Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) alive or anything else on her long list of crimes.
That’s why Vivian faked her death with Ivan Marais’ (Ivan G’Vera) help. Jake still believes Vivian is dead and gone, so he’s in for a shock when he finds out that’s not the case.
Days of Our Lives spoilers hint that Vivian is behind the kidnapping of Carver Grant and Julia “Jules” Grant. It’s yet another twisted move of Vivian’s – and you can bet Jake isn’t going to be happy.
At some point after Vivian’s schemes blow up, Jake should get a chance to confront Vivian. He’ll inevitably let his mother have it for pretending she was deceased and abducting an innocent couple’s children.
Of course, Lani and Eli won’t seem so innocent to Vivian! She may argue that Jake has no respect for his brother, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), who died after taking a bullet for her. That bullet came from Lani’s gun, so it seems Vivian has circled back around to that grudge.
Eli’s support of Lani should make him just as bad in Vivian’s book. Since Vivian’s twins were taken shortly after she brought them into this world, she most likely felt like she should start over with these new ones.
Jake may think his mother is a nutjob for stealing two babies that don’t belong to her and thinking she could raise them indefinitely.
However, Vivian might argue that she wouldn’t have to if Jake wasn’t such a gigantic disappointment. Vivian wasn’t thrilled about Jake’s whole grease monkey vibe when she first met him.
With Stefan gone and Jake never being able to measure up, starting over probably seemed like the logical choice – at least from Vivian’s perspective.
Whatever the case, you can bet Jake will have an opportunity to lash out as his mom down the road. Once all Vivian’s drama explodes, Days spoilers suggest Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) might be able to swoop in as a source of support.
Gabi will exploit every situation she can if it means getting closer to Jake, so stay tuned to DOOL.
