Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) may be forced to pick a side in EJ DiMera’s (Dan Feuerriegel) and Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) bitter divorce drama. This determined dad may recruit his son for the family business and hope he can count on Johnny’s support.
Johnny is headed back to Salem later this summer, so we should think about the chaos that’ll be waiting for him when he arrives. Of course, there’ll be some important people to catch up with, including his twin sister Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold).
Johnny will have other family members to reunite with as well, but it won’t be long until he’s sucked into his parents’ problems. Days spoilers state that Sami won’t be able to hide her cheating secret indefinitely.
EJ’s on the verge of finding out Sami slept with Lucas on more than one occasion.
As DOOL fans can imagine, that’s not going to go over well with EJ! Sami’s repeated betrayals will be exposed in the near future, so EJ will lash out and could easily demand a divorce.
This should put EJ right back in that angry mode he was in before he came to town. We heard a lot about how bitter EJ was and how he was just mad at the world.
At least EJ will have DiMera Enterprises to channel that anger into this time. Once Johnny shows back up in Salem, EJ will likely want his son to enter the DiMera fold.
We’ll probably see EJ recruit Johnny for a new position so he can learn the ropes and perhaps take over the company one day.
Will Johnny get on board with that idea? Days spoilers suggest that might depend on who Johnny sides with in the marriage conflict aftermath. Johnny might understand that Sami was driven to her mistakes because of EJ’s harsh treatment.
However, it’s also possible Johnny will stand against Sami’s actions and side with his betrayed father.
As for the topic of whether Johnny will join DiMera Enterprises, he might have other career aspirations – especially since we know Carson Boatman has a musical background.
Nevertheless, EJ will surely try convincing Johnny to become the next heir to the DiMera throne and get groomed for a takeover of his own someday. Even if EJ can’t convince Johnny that’s the right path, he should give it his best shot.
